Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I wrote this book based on all the emotional roller coaster we all go through at one time or another in life. I looked back over my life and noticed I could not be the only one who's feeling like this. At different times in all our lives, we all go through the emotional roller-coaster ride, where we are faced with situation and problems, not knowing how we are going to deal with the different hills as they goes up slowly to the top until they reach the highest level. Then all of a sudden, it comes rush down so fast that it take your emotions all over the place. Before we can catch a breath, we are going up inside of a loop, going around at a fast pace all over the place. It seems to reach the different points of the roller-coaster ride as we are catching our breaths and starting to breathe normal once again. That's the same as our emotions: just when we are about to feel like things are going back to normal, something else comes up, and here we go again. Yes, I felt like this all the time over the different periods in my life. I learned to look at what was happening and when I started feeling like my emotions were starting to lose control. I find myself yelling and getting bent out of shape with my emotions running all over the place. Then I learned that when you are going through different experiences in your life you have to seek the Lord in a different way by challenge yourself out of your normal way of serving the Lord. Seek him more on a personal level, and let him teach you about more of him and less of you.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Thank you for teaching me life. You taught me and I have learnt. I have learnt how to love, how to hate, how to build and to destroy. In each and every one at some point in our lives there are happy and sad moments. In any case let's say life is not always a bed of roses, it is just one tough ride but as they say in order to get happiness, sometimes you pass through pain. I have also learnt to forgive and not hold grudges. I take each day as it comes. Your life is what you make of it. Forgiving sets you free because by not forgiving you carry whoever wronged you with you always. It's so unfortunate that the people who teach us life's bumpy rides are the ones we love the most. But look at it this way, someone in this world had to teach you the roughness in life because without that then you have never lived nor experienced life, in all the roughness you learn to let go and find a way to move forward because as much as you are hurting allowing yourself to dwell in anger is letting the devil to own you. I learnt that after destroying many lives. Am not saying it's easy to get up and recover from pain, humiliation and betrayal. Truth is its very painful to be abused emotionally because those wounds are not visible. There is one thing about trust, once you break it, you can never really fix it, yes darling I have learnt that it's a tough universe only tigers survive but even they find it hard sometimes, even they find it hard to remain in control. That is life, one big emotional roller coaster. My name is Tendai; I was once a good faithful wife with intentions of having a big family. I will take through the journey before I decided to forgive, my emotions and regrets. It is said that don't let the world change the good person you are. I tried hard but I failed. I wanted revenge; I wanted everyone to feel the pain I felt and the betrayal." I felt justified to hurt people as they have hurt me too. My emotions were just all over the place.

This book presents acting as a mind, body and spirit practice and actors as emotional athletes, spiritual stuntmen and stuntwomen exposed to a constant roller coaster of emotions. Going beyond where Michael Chekhov left off, it offers new acting techniques using discoveries from holistic and energy healing modalities. Answering an urgent -yet never addressed-need, this book offers invaluable tools to heal post-performance stress disorder and cutting edge information about recovering your Highest Creative Self, the essence of your character, and true emotional balance. Lisa Dalton, Co-founder, International Michael Chekhov Association, Award-Winning Actor/Producer/Director and Co-founder and Certifying Board, National Michael Chekhov Association wrote the Foreword. She says: "It is rare to find a subject that urgently needs to be discussed and about which too little is written. The need to train the entire being of the performing artist is just such a subject. Emmanuelle Chaulet's A Balancing Act is a godsend to performing artists of any sort. Knowing how to Energize allows us to endure and even thrive during the rise and fall, the constant state of transformation, the juggling of feelings, styles, jobs, and colleagues while maintaining an even keel." "Truly some of the freshest and most innovative 21st century contributions to the art of acting." says Mel Shrawder NYC AEA/SAG actor, Former Head of Performance, University of Miami, and faculty at the Michael Chekhov Acting Studio in NYC.

In times of a global emergency, the aftermath of emergency remote teaching (ERT) cannot be ignored. The question of how language educators and researchers unleash creativity and employ strategies vis-à-vis ERT still remains to be answered. With practitioners in mind, it covers a broad spectrum of educational settings across continents, target languages and methodologies. Specifically, it reveals viable ways of utilizing digital technologies to bypass social distancing while highlighting the pitfalls and challenges associated with crisis teaching and research. This volume comprises two parts: Teacher Voice vicariously transports readers to practitioners’ compelling stories of how teacher resilience, identity and professional development are crystallized in adaptive pedagogy, online teaching practicum, virtual study programs and communities of practice during ERT. The second part, Researcher Corner, showcases innovative approaches for both novice and seasoned researchers to upskill their toolkits, ranging from case study research and mixed methods designs, to auto- and virtual ethnography and social media research. The array of food for thought provides a positive outlook and inspires us to rethink our current practices and future directions in the post-COVID world. Regardless of their backgrounds and experiences, readers will be able to relate to this accessible volume that harmonizes research and practice, and speaks from the hearts of all the contributors.
