Specific topics are as follows: divergent training systems, the teaching profession and teacher training, choice of study by girls, and education in the Flemish and French communities. Because of lack of time and the complex nature of vocational education in the country, only preliminary results are reported. It also covers two other types of training--evening courses offered by universities, and private courses. The third chapter describes the measures introduced recently to combat unemployment.
