En este sentido, la traducción audiovisual se ha convertido en una de las variedades de traducción más practicadas en todo el mundo, por lo que requiere una atención prioritaria. El autor propone en este ensayo que para el análisis de los textos audiovisuales son necesarias, al menos, las aportaciones de la teoría de traducción y las aportaciones de los estudios cinematográficos. Se ofrece, pues, una panorámica de la traducción audiovisual, tanto desde el punto de vista profesional, como desde el punto de vista traductológico y cinematográfico.
