Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Richard Feynman once quipped that "Time is what happens when nothing else does." But Julian Barbour disagrees: if nothing happened, if nothing changed, then time would stop. For time is nothing but change. It is change that we perceive occurring all around us, not time. Put simply, time does not exist. In this highly provocative volume, Barbour presents the basic evidence for a timeless universe, and shows why we still experience the world as intensely temporal. It is a book that strikes at the heart of modern physics. It casts doubt on Einstein's greatest contribution, the spacetime continuum, but also points to the solution of one of the great paradoxes of modern science, the chasm between classical and quantum physics. Indeed, Barbour argues that the holy grail of physicists--the unification of Einstein's general relativity with quantum mechanics--may well spell the end of time. Barbour writes with remarkable clarity as he ranges from the ancient philosophers Heraclitus and Parmenides, through the giants of science Galileo, Newton, and Einstein, to the work of the contemporary physicists John Wheeler, Roger Penrose, and Steven Hawking. Along the way he treats us to enticing glimpses of some of the mysteries of the universe, and presents intriguing ideas about multiple worlds, time travel, immortality, and, above all, the illusion of motion. The End of Time is a vibrantly written and revolutionary book. It turns our understanding of reality inside-out.

Book excerpt: The end-time has come. Hundreds of millions will die in the worst time of tribulation the world has ever known. You need to be informed so you can know how to respond. The Prophesied End-Time will challenge readers as they consider catastrophic end-time events that are prophesied to begin very soon. Although many will not take seriously what is written here, they will gradually experience disbelief as the events covered in this book begin to unfold. These events will begin with more acts of terrorism, along with natural disasters, that will far exceed the devastation of 9/11. The magnitude of these events will lead to the demise of the United State and the United Kingdom, which will then lead to World War III. These things certainly are unpleasant to ponder, but the reality will prove to be many times worse. You need to start now to prepare yourself for what is coming. The action you take could potentially help your loved ones survive.

Book excerpt: 'I loved #TheEndofTime. It is, without doubt, one of my top reads of 2019. I walked every mile with Zain, Mohammed and Jesus. Even when their epic journey seemed hopeless, their story remained hopeful. I've not had such an immersive and important read in a long time.' Carmel Harrington 'Thoroughly enjoyed #TheEndOfTime. It's an epic story of brotherly love, courage and resilience. A sensitively-written, compassionate and heart-warming must-read for this summer.' Sarah J Harris ************** Beneath the stars, on a stony beach, stand two teenage brothers. They are wearing lifejackets that are too big for them and their most precious belongings are sealed in waterproof bags tucked inside the rucksacks on their backs. Turkey is behind them and Europe lies ahead, a dark, desperate swim away. They don't know what will come next, but they're about to meet a man who does. He calls himself Jesus, the Messiah. He is barefoot, dishevelled and smells strongly of alcohol. And he doesn't believe in chance meetings. He believes he has information about the future - information that will change three lives forever . . .

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The gospel shapes the church and the church spreads the gospel. In his heartfelt letters to the Thessalonians, the apostle Paul calls believers again and again to these essential truths. To encourage and correct the young church in Thessalonica, Paul addresses many issues that are still of vital importance today, such as Christian community, church leadership, moral living, evangelism, and what we need to know about the end times. With scholarly rigor and pastoral care, John Stott opens up the rich truths found in 1 and 2 Thessalonians. He guides readers through each passage, exploring historical background, key themes, and applications for today. In 1 Thessalonians Stott highlights the themes of the relationship between the gospel and the church, and in 2 Thessalonians he identifies a Christian perspective on history. Both letters provide valuable insights into Paul's model of ministry and the life of a congregation in a highly challenging context. This revised edition of a classic Bible Speaks Today volume includes updated language and Scripture quotations and a new interior design. A study guide for individuals or groups is included to help readers engage more deeply with the text.

Book excerpt: John Fox’s Time and the End of Time presents the never-dying soul with the weighty things one must deal with while standing on the coast of eternity: God, sin, heaven, hell, and, most of all, the personal work of Christ. Fox’s piercing and searching exposition of two main texts, Ephesians 5:16 and Deuteronomy 32:29, engages readers with motivations, directions, and applications so they can both “redeem the time” and “consider their latter end.” The span of life on earth quickly vanishes, and what is done with it will make or mar for eternity. Either infinite joy with God or the endless abyss of His fury—the hinge swings in time. “Therefore, do not procrastinate or delay...for a world.”

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The date when Christ's Kingdom will come to earth has been the "Holy Grail" of biblical prophecy since Daniel first inquired. Countless Christians have diligently searched for this hidden treasure. It has escaped the meticulous, chronological study of Sir Isaac Newton and the tomfoolery of Harold Camping. The earliest Christians did not believe, as do most modern Christians, that the date of Christ's return is completely out of reach. They held an eschatology called, "Chiliasm," a view that saw all of human history as a "week" of seven millennia, with the seventh millennium being the coming Kingdom of Christ on earth. This view seems to have been unanimously taught by those who had close connections to the Apostle John. Knowing the year of Jesus' second coming was merely a matter of putting together a biblical chronology from creation. This process would yield the date of His coming in the 6000th year from creation. This book first demonstrates that Chiliasm is both biblical and apostolic. It follows Chiliasm's history and demise, as Amillennialism displaced it from the fourth century onward. Having demonstrated that the Millennial Week theory is correct, the author shows why the early Christian chronologies failed. He then presents his own complete biblical chronology, from creation to the second coming of Christ, drawn exclusively from the data in the Hebrew Bible. This chronology is developed using the Jubilee calendar grid that God gave to Israel, but they never actually followed. Placing the biblical chronological data on this calendar grid yields an amazing symmetry to the biblical historical record, and a number of remarkable coincidences, such as: 1. The death of Noah and birth of Abraham were in the 2000th year from creation, on the 40th Jubilee year. 2. The Exodus from Egypt was in the 2500th year from creation, the 50th Jubilee year (A Jubilee of Jubilees). 3. The decree of Cyrus the Great ending the 70-year Babylonian exile was the year 3500 from creation, the 70th Jubilee year (a double fulfillment of Jeremiah's "70 years" prophecy). The biblical chronology presented here is completely unique. It is the original research of the author over a period of many years, presented in a concise way, with over 500 footnotes for reference purposes. It shows that we are only about two decades away from the "TIME of the END."
