Book excerpt: The book of Revelation offers us an interesting theological dilemma. It states Rev 22:16. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. Revelation also states it is "the true sayings" of Jesus and that it is "the testimony of Christ". If this is not "the gospel of Jesus Christ" then what is it and should we consider it accursed testimony of an angel? If it is not to be considered accursed, then it cannot be some other gospel message then what was already given previously. However, this is the conundrum, for if this is the gospel message, then why do so few understand it? There is a possibility which few consider but is the overall thesis of this apology. The reason people don't understand revelation is because they never understood what the gospel message was in the first place! In that case, where does that put those who claim it is not essential for salvation? Do you not find it quite curious that the most "Personally" given NT book By Jesus himself, is the least understood and given the least importance for Salvation in Christendom?....There are numerous preachers and bible exegetes but as Paul said "... I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge" . Most who profess the name of Christ are feeding on doctrines of devils and the ignorant.. There are, without question, many "qualified" teachers and scholars with many years of "dedication" and "solid education". However, teachers, no matter how well lettered or numbered in degrees; if obtained from others; who are just as equally ignorant in such matters, are just " blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Of all the books of the Bible, few are as fascinating or as intimidating as Revelation. Four grim horsemen, the Antichrist, the ten-horned beast, the ultimate battle at Armageddon, the "mark of the beast." It's no wonder that these images have griped the imagination of so many--and have been variously interpreted as symbolizing everything from Hitler and Gorbachev to credit cards and the Internet. Is the book of Revelation a blueprint for the future? A book of powerful symbolic imagery with warnings for the church? Is it essentially an imaginative depiction of historical events in the first century? Four Views on the Book of Revelation explores four interpretations of the book of the Apocalypse: Preterist – a historical interpretation, arguing that most of John’s prophecies occurred in the first century, soon after his writing of them. Idealist – a spiritual or symbolic interpretation, arguing that the events in Revelation are not literal, and that apocalyptic literature requires a different approach than the Gospels or Epistles. Classical dispensationalism – a literal interpretation based on a reading of Revelation that pays close attention to the rules of grammar and the separate eras of covenantal history. Progressive dispensationalism – a modification of classical that has its root in the understanding of Christ's reign beginning immediately after the resurrection. The Counterpoints series presents a comparison and critique of scholarly views on topics important to Christians that are both fair-minded and respectful of the biblical text. Each volume is a one-stop reference that allows readers to evaluate the different positions on a specific issue and form their own, educated opinion.

Connecting the dots of prophecy throughout the Bible reveals the truth of God's love for mankind—His plans to rescue His own, punish the lawless, and judge the nations. 'Revelation Unwrapped' is the picture God draws through His spoken Word to the faithful from Genesis to Revelation. Eternity lies beyond time as we know it. How does the Earth get from here to there? For four thousand years God spoke through His prophets and shared His plan. From Enoch, seventh generation from Adam, to John the Revelator, God promised to bring salvation and redemption to the world, return the Jews to their rightful land, bless the righteous, judge the ungodly and the Nations, and set up His eternal kingdom. 'Revelation Unwrapped' examines those prophecies, from Enoch to John, and confirms verse by verse the book of Revelation. Easy to understand explanations will open your mind to receive the truths of the events that are already happening on the horizon of the 'last days'. Your personal experience with 'Revelation Unwrapped' will be so enlightening that you will be compelled to share this book with family and friends.
