Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God called me into the ministry of inner healing decades ago and from that came a passion to see people set free in Jesus Christ like I was. One of the most troubling concerns in my thirty-five years of pastoral lay ministry has been the issue of identity in both men and women. Most Christians do not know who they are in Christ to one degree or another. We all wear false labels or identities which can lead to a lot of confusion, loneliness, anxiety, failure, insecurity, depression, and fear, with a ripple effect that goes into our families and all interpersonal areas of our lives. Add to that once Satan can take the child of God down in the area of our image, he wins as we become isolated, depressed, ineffectual in life, and ultimately hopeless that we'll never change, or our circumstances will never change. This false identity also hinders us from putting the past sins, hurts, and deprivations behind us. And since insecurity and fear are at the top of the list for most of us, it leaves us not trusting in the One who created us in his image, in his likeness-to have purpose, to serve, to love and be loved, and to share in the abundant life the Father promised his children. The Bible says in John 8:32, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be freed indeed." But it takes identifying what the false labels/identity is, then removing those labels and walking in the fullness of who our Lord always meant for each of us to be.

Book excerpt: Title of this booklet is: UNDERSTANDING MY CREATIVE IDENTITY.It is the second in the Daughters of Sarah Ministry Eight (8) volume SPIRITUAL IDENTITY THEFT series, which begins with: INTRODUCING SPIRITUAL IDENTITY THEFT (Volume 1) and concludes with: THE NEED FOR TRAINING (VOLUME 8) It is very important for every person to know, understand and operate within his/her God given identity, yet the matter of true identity is one of the most ignored and misunderstood among Christians today. So many are making choices based on their preferences or feelings instead of the truth as revealed in the Scriptures. Amid the confusion in the world today, it is clear that the Christians; especially Christian youths are targeted. Many are losing their spiritual identity in the market place and operating in the flesh just as the unbelieving youths. We must focus on knowing our identity in Christ and training others to boldly stand with the knowledge of this unshaken identity in Christ in order to resist the pressures to conform to the mould of the world. This is 'True Empowerment'! The Church should be about the business of empowering the emerging leaders for the glory of God.In view of this, the Lord has brought out this work for a time like this. While this is still a work in progress, we sense the urgency to begin to release it in bits to edify the Church while trusting God to complete what He has started. What you have in your hand is one of these booklets and we encourage you to get and read the other booklets for your edification

Book excerpt: What if there was a way to peel back the broken and tattered pieces of ourselves, and uncover a new life of freedom, adventure, and transformation? For many of us, our misconceptions about the nature and character of the triune God have kept us from the freedom and joy found in our true identity in Christ. Damaging cycles of shame and the endless effort to look the part keep us trapped in drama and fear. Unable to grasp the paradox of a God who is both Lion and Lamb, we end up feeling alone, stuck on the banks of the river while a life of passion and adventure beckons. Using stories of transformation, Paradox Lost presents a framework for understanding our patterns of "stuckness" and provides specific tools for getting off the riverbanks and into the current. With life-giving insight into God's nature, readers will find the courage to uncover their own wounded places, as well as invite others to experience the wholeness of abundant life in Christ.

Book excerpt: Marco Meyer's wife, Suzanna, has left him for fellow journalist Karl Ngwenya. After Ngwenya's death, Marco, determined to outdo Ngwenya, takes over his investigation into exports of fake drugs from Amsterdam to African countries. From the outset, Marco finds himself hopelessly out of his depth, isolated in east Africa, with no one to trust. Eventually stripped of his dignity and his identity, Marco struggles to maintain his grip on the one hope that sustains him-Suzanna. This exciting and moving story follows the journalist's struggle with love, betrayal, murder, and his own identity. It was written in 1983 under the title Een Welkomen Dood before the advent of the Internet, mobile phone, and post-9/11 tightening of international security. It was produced by the author in English in 2008 under the title Lost Identity. The issue of exports of substandard and counterfeit chemicals and drugs to developing countries remains as current as when the novel was first written.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christians confess that Christ came to save us from sin and death. But what did he save us for? One beautiful and compelling answer to this question is that God saved us for union with him so that we might become “partakers of the divine nature” (1 Pet 2:4), what the Christian tradition has called “deification.” This term refers to a particular vision of salvation which claims that God wants to share his own divine life with us, uniting us to himself and transforming us into his likeness. While often thought to be either a heretical notion or the provenance of Eastern Orthodoxy, this book shows that deification is an integral part of Catholicism, Orthodoxy, and many Protestant denominations. Drawing on the resources of their own Christian heritages, eleven scholars share the riches of their respective traditions on the doctrine of deification. In this book , scholars and pastor-scholars from diverse Christian expressions write for both a scholarly and lay audience about what God created us to be: adopted children of God who are called, even now, to “be filled with all the fullness of God” (Eph. 3:19).
