Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This poetry book is a collection of my favorite poems that I have written since the age of seventeen. They cover the different stages of grief, life, and love. They have helped me express my deepest thoughts and feelings. The few people I have selected to read what I have written say that they can feel the raw emotion and enjoy the detailed craftsmanship. There are a few different types of poetry; I dabbled with the regular rhyming, acrostic poems and story like poems. I hope you enjoy reading it, as much as I have writing it.

Book excerpt: Please remember this book is not about the doctrine of Acts 2:38, the oneness of God, holiness within, holiness with-out and separation from the world. Although, these things are absolutely essential to be saved, we still have to cope with life. The purpose of this book is to help Apostolic saints deal with everyday living. As the Apostle Paul said, ..".that which cometh upon me daily." It's called life. I hope these lessons bless you as you take this journey.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My life has been a roller-coaster ride of crazy highs and depressing lows. Up until recently, it has been a reactionary tale of following a preplanned script designed to fit into a category rather than support my own individualism. The pre-Internet world that I was born into encouraged a world of group think that encouraged a follow the leader" mentality, but few of us dared to ask the question What if the leader cares nothing for the followers? How should the followers react and more importantly, what lessons are to be learned? I have taken a few stories about my life on what I thought I knew and later found out that my conditioned thinking habits steered me into the completely wrong direction. Read my stories and the lessons learned from them and compare them to your life story.

Book excerpt: The Learning Journey compels the reader to see their own journey through life as a climb toward consciousness and survival. This gripping true story of one persons successful struggle to survive tragic and chaotic challenges can lead others to an examination of childhood scripts, and a recognition of their own value system based on their life experience. Combining psychological and spiritual wisdom, June Lamb, gives guidance and inspiration for those willing to step into the classroom called life as they explore what it means to be human. The acceptance of loss as part of that classroom, and the search for finding authority in religion, medicine, higher education, and law are widely explored in her absorbing story of a life full of universal themes that will be recognized by all. She tells her personal story in conjunction with case examples drawn directly from her years of practice as a family therapist.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does it really mean to be a grown up in today’s world? We assume that once we “get it together” with the right job, marry the right person, have children, and buy a home, all is settled and well. But adulthood presents varying levels of growth, and is rarely the respite of stability we expected. Turbulent emotional shifts can take place anywhere between the age of thirty-five and seventy when we question the choices we’ve made, realize our limitations, and feel stuck— commonly known as the “midlife crisis.” Jungian psycho-analyst James Hollis believes it is only in the second half of life that we can truly come to know who we are and thus create a life that has meaning. In Finding Meaning in the Second Half of Life, Hollis explores the ways we can grow and evolve to fully become ourselves when the traditional roles of adulthood aren’t quite working for us, revealing a new way of uncovering and embracing our authentic selves. Offering wisdom to anyone facing a career that no longer seems fulfilling, a long-term relationship that has shifted, or family transitions that raise issues of aging and mortality, Finding Meaning in the Second Half of Life provides a reassuring message and a crucial bridge across this critical passage of adult development.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My faith commands me to take care of those in need, particularly the children. Then in 2008, our nation faced a serious financial crisis. During that crisis, funding for mental health became disrupted, and children suffered. The crushing need to help our children led me to walk across America to tell everyone who would listen about the needs of children with emotional issues, behavioral issues, and developmental disabilities. Little did I know at the outset of my walk that it would become a walk of life’s lessons learned about the beautiful, decent, caring people in our nation. During my walk, my cynicism was replaced with hope, with gratitude, and with renewed faith in mankind. I was renewed spiritually and emotionally by the people I met along my journey. My walk started as a spiritual journey. It was a walk of atonement and a walk of gratitude. I always told people that I came from a very poor family. My mom struggled. Years later, after seeing what many of the children at Good Shepherd have gone through, I realized that I was not poor at all. In fact, I came from an extremely wealthy family who just happened to not have any money. I never once doubted that my mom and my brothers and sisters and family loved me. The children of Good Shepherd and the sisters have taught me to be grateful for the wonderful gifts that I have been granted caretaker of. The walk of atonement was a time to reflect and ask those people that I have hurt in my life to forgive me, those people in my life whom I have disappointed to pray for me, and those people in my life that I have helped that they would help another. I realized later in life that I learned much more from my mistakes than I had from my successes. The walk was an opportunity to write about, pray about, and seek forgiveness for. Atonement goes well beyond being forgiven. As a Catholic, I know that my Savior forgives my sins, but that does not alleviate my responsibility to atone for what I have done or what I have failed to do. When atonement is sought, behaviors change. The cycle of forgiveness is then complete, and true family healing can occur. I was hoping that during my walk, the Holy Spirit would guide me and give me the wisdom that I would need to develop a program to help children in need. Little did I know that the lessons I had hoped to learn were overwhelmed by the life’s lessons learned while I walked across America. Join me in reliving the amazing stories of my walk across America for children. It’s all good!
