For the benefit of the reader; the contents, list of illustrations and index include all materials as are available in the original full unabridged edition as marked throughout as 'UE'. The reader may then appreciate the additional subject matter and greater depth that would be required for fully comprehensive understanding as commensurate of that of the nuclear engineer. Given this, and the clear academic and investment advantages of the unabridged edition, then the reader may find the unabridged edition a more suitable text to study, albeit being proportionately more expensive (colour print and substantially extra and more advanced material), especially where deeper understanding is sought. This fuller unabridged edition is estimated to be equivalent to roughly half of an M.Sc.(Nucl Eng) course. This being said should the reader later desire to study further than presented herein then the unabridged edition seamlessly incorporates its additional material that is above and beyond as that provided in this abridged version.
