Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When the worthless treaties were signed and it was time to move the Ho-Chunk/Winnebago nation, the people took only what they could carry on their backs. There isnt a person alive today who can describe the atrocities, hardships, and deprivation their ancestors faced while being moved from their land to a strange place, unable to travel or live where their ancestors were buried. No longer could they provide food and lodging for their families; they had to depend on the government for monthly rations of food, blankets, and medical attention. Every Warrior Has His Own Song explores the history and culture of the Winnebago and Ho-Chunk peoples, as well as the personal history of the family of author Alan B. Walker. Patriotic and fiercely loyal to this country and the land of their ancestors, they show respect to the returning veterans of any war. As Walker grew older, he knew that he wanted to be a warrior and wondered if he had the right stuff; in the course of his exploration of his peoples culture, he also tells the story of his service in Vietnam. Every Warrior Has His Own Song touches on the history and modern life of the Ho- Chunk/Winnebago nation as well as the story of the Hatchett family, telling a timeless and relevant tale of bravery. It is an amazing read. I had a hard time putting it down. I believe this book should be a part of every high schools history teachings. It angered me to see what the U.S. Government has done over and over to these Native American Indians. Why have a treaty if you're not going to stand behind it? I was also amazed by the courage of this writer. His service to this country, like his Grandfathers is one of pride and courage. I'm amazed and glad that Alan B. Walker lived through the Vietnam war so that his story and that of his people could be told. -Aron

"I die when I am in the past, how dost ye know when tae declare me dead? You could decide it, call me dead, and I canna blame ye for it. Because I am. But I daena want tae be, I want tae live -- with ye." -- Magnus 1702 There are things left undone. Magnus must go home and Kaitlyn must go with him. Because it's not enough for her to guide from afar. He needs her voice in his ear. They know now they are stronger together. He raised his eyes to mine and for a second time stood still. My mind said breathlessly, "Yes." And I swore I could hear him say, inside my head, deep and resonating, "Aye." -- Kaitlyn 2018 But Magnus learns there are cruel limits to his protection. Kaitlyn learns how dangerous it is to be responsible for a family. And together they learn that they have been at the mercy of someone far more brutal than they imagined. A contemporary romance with way more 18th century history and a bit more SciFi, Warrior of My Own is the third book in the Kaitlyn and the Highlander series. If you love mysterious, sexy, hunky heroes with desperate hearts and romantic thoughts, heroines with courage who are also very ordinary disasters, and love stories that encompass all time, then you'll love this romantic series. Book excerpt: Although the Morroks surpass Humans in both size and strength, for generations they have skulked in deserts and moved among Humans only in secret. They train their children with brutal thoroughness and psychological torment, teaching them both to isolate themselves and to kill without thought. Orestes is one such Human trainee for the first five years of his life. But after he is rescued from the Morrok Facility, Orestes grows up in Warrior Peak, a militaristic society that hasn't been to war in three generations and is reluctant to do so even as the Morroks begin to show themselves in the desert just miles from their home. Even in the midst of impending war, Orestes wrestles with the Morroks' hold over his mind and heart as he struggles to fight without malignity, to lead without tyranny, and to love without inhibition. The Morroks, however, are not as quick to relinquish their hold on Orestes, and the reminders of their training, often written in the blood of others, threaten to ruin him before he can lead the Humans in their last stand to defend the land against the Morroks. http: //www.awarriorslegacy.com
