There is one publication which deserves special mention, not only because I have quoted freely from it but because it has been a guide to me in a more general way. I refer to the book Teaching Agriculture in the Rural and Graded Schools, by Prof. E. C. Bishop. Professor Bishop has done more than any other one man to develop the work of agriculture and domestic science among the schools of the United States.
