Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The ministry of the Prophet Elijah is a testament to the power of the Holy Spirit in every prophet's life. His life is the culmination of the work of holiness and glory that is at the very heart of God. However, as with all men, Elijah is not without his worldly struggles. He has experienced a life of despair and emotional unrest in having to deal with an evil prophetess of Baal named Jezebel. Our first encounter with Elijah begins in 1 Kings 17:1. In this scripture we can witness the power of the office that is carried by those who walk with a prophetic mantle. There are some scholars who would want us to believe that the works of Elijah were for Elijah alone rather than the ability of every prophet who carries a prophetic mantle. These same scholars would lead us to believe that the works of Christ were for Christ alone rather than having been passed down to the church [John 14:12]. These scholars are called Cessationists. A Cessationist is someone who believes that the "miracle gifts" of tongues and healing have ceased-that the end of the apostolic age brought about cessation of the miracles associated with that age. Most Cessationists believe that, while God can and still does perform miracles today, the Holy Spirit no longer uses individuals to perform miraculous signs. This book will dispel that misnomer of the cessation belief much to the dislike of those who walk in the cessation theology. The Elijah anointing is for every believer not just prophets. It is manifested through the actions of the Holy Spirit in order to establish God's kingdom and salvation message to men. In 1 Kings 17:1 Elijah immediately begins with the use of the power of his office and causes a great drought to enter Israel because of the unbelief and disobedience against God. Elijah addresses King Ahab in this proclamation. We must read the scripture as it is written. The Lord did not instruct Elijah directly to proclaim this decree. However, through his prophetic calling God honored his proclamation in bringing the drought. God even went so far as to honor the word of Elijah when he told Ahab that the drought would not end, "except by my word" [v1]. In this statement we begin to understand the authority the Lord gives the prophetic office. It is His heart and it is His ministry. The office of the Prophet was established at the foot of Mt. Sinai [Deut. 18:15]. In this book I will establish the authority and power that God has given to us by using Elijah as an example of His presence upon the earth. Elijah is very much in tune with an heaven and earth covenant. He is a foreshadowing of Jesus' ministry. The ministry that re-established our relationship with God and removed the exile from His presence. In all my years of ministry, I have come to understand that the Lord gives us precedence and power to declare His kingdom upon the earth and to stir the atmosphere with His prophetic anointing. A great part of the Elijah anointing is not just the presence of miracles and supernatural events but Elijah drew attention to the sin of the nation and the sinfulness of its leaders. Consider 1 Kings 18:18, "I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father's house have, because you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord and you have followed the Baals." Elijah is rebuking Ahab for having forsaken the Lord and turned to the ways of the spirit of Jezebel. Elijah is referring to the command given their forefathers in the wilderness before God brought them into the Promised Land under Joshua. "But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you shall surely perish" [Deut. 30:17-18].

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Supernatural revelation and ability has always fascinated people, yet Spiritfilled Christians have access to God's very heart through prophetic revelation. God has given many biblical examples of those who operated in their prophetic gifts, but Elijah personifies the prophet's role. He put no limits on God's ability. He knew how to operate in his gifts, even in hard things like multiple translations and a resurrection. He performed signs and wonders like calling down God's fire. He also taught others as pupils and proteges to pass his knowledge to the next generation. He was so in tune with the Father he was one of two men who never tasted death. His ministry is an example to modern-day prophets. Connie Hunter-Urban's book, The Elijah Anointing, not only shows how Elijah's life experiences relate to us, but also how those events create principles for Spirit-filled believers to apply to their own gifts. Through biblical examples and her own life's experiences, Connie uses this powerful prophet to demonstrate modern-day principles. Both new and seasoned operators in the prophetic will learn much about their own prophetic journeys. Connie Hunter-Urban uses Elijah as an example of how Spirit-filled believers can better understand their own gifts. The Elijah Anointing explores Elijah's life, gleaning principles which govern prophetic gifts even today. This book shows how God cherishes His prophets, both new and seasoned and encourages and instructs all levels in becoming mature operators in Holy Spirit's gifts."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Strongholds can't be broken without the boldness to confront them. After reading this book, you will have the courage to walk in the same anointing as the prophet Elijah to boldly declare the power of the Lord and break off the strongholds holding our world captive to the darkness. As it was in the days of Elijah, a great number of God's people today dwell in a nation that is on a path of progressive moral decline. America has the most liberal abortion standard in the world. Christians are hooked on pornography. The homosexual agenda is finding acceptance even in the church. Divorce is on the rise in the church. Human trafficking is manifesting as the ugly side of globalization. Those who were once considered great leaders are now preaching a doctrine of inclusion, with Christian who leaders or that are afraid to say on national television that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. With the turn of a new decade plagued with violence, sickness, disease, and economic instability, the people cry out for the prophets to speak. And God is raising up a prophetic people who will help prepare the way for His purposes in our generation. A new company of Elijah prophets--holy, bold, and uncompromising--are being equipped to restore the spiritual destiny of the church in our generation. In this book, Michelle McClain-Walters challenges readers to awaken to the call God is stirring in the earth and stand up as modern-day Elijahs who will partner with the Holy Spirit to change the culture by turning hearts back to God. Readers will be encouraged to: Identify the call of God on their lives in this hour and ask, "Am I an Elijah?" Learn what it takes to walk in the spirit and power of Elijah and where they may be in their own journey Understand the different roles miracles play during times of revival, reformation, and restoration Learn to pray prayers that move heaven and shake earth, as well as how to persist in prayer This book will empower readers to discover their prophetic destiny in this hour and position themselves to receive a double portion of the spirit and power of Elijah.
