Our voice is a singular instrument that speaks to our potential, our purpose, and our path. When we lose that voice we lose our sense of direction. We find ourselves speaking loud and saying nothing. That is the thing that separates us and gives identity to who we are and what we can become. Recently my oldest child, my son Michael graduated from high school. As a wife my role has been to support my husband and help him to identify everything that makes him both a man and a significant member of society. But it's the expression of that identity that is dealt with in the crossroads. As you read this book, you may see that your voice has been lost as well. You may find that even though you're speaking loud, the words that are coming out of your mouth are not necessarily those that are lifting up and expressing who you are. Finding your voice in the trauma and drama of life is a significant task at best. Yet at the same time it is required in order for you to be able to scale up to the full potential of who you are. When you find that voice you will be able to perform each one of your tasks with more skill, power, and purpose. As you find your voice, it becomes incumbent upon you to help others find theirs as well. All the things that you find yourself engaged in are significantly impacted by the voice that you have.
