Author Quang Hong Mac survived, escaping by boat after spending more than five years in a Vietcong re-education camp. He resettled in the U.S. and continues to fight for democracy. Sharing his untold stories with U.S. public officials and another former Vietcong prisoner, this book was written to debunk paranoid socialists in democratic countries.
