Book excerpt: The Apprentice Boy is the story of a young man who carried the nails, ropes, hammers, etc., along the death route on the Via Dolorosa on any day that the Romans decided to crucify someone; being Hebrew or violator of a crime, whether guilty or purely in their own arrogance. Although the story is not entirely about the crucifixion of any particular person, a singular event in a very important way has an impact on the boys life thereafter. The story deals primarily with the background training of the child in his adolescence, young manhood and up to his maturation. The story follows the life of this young man and his two lifelong companions, and also the lives and duties of the men who worked mainly in the background of the dungeons, torture chambers, and jails during the Roman reign of Israel. The training, or the apprenticeship that achieved the journeyman status of the Jailer, was without a doubt one of intense attention to torturous detail while being a devoted Roman at the same time. Young men trained to do the job of death! Why would a young man prepare himself for such a cruel future?

Book excerpt: This Book, The Apprentice Boy Part II, is the continuation of The Apprentice Boy Part I. You probably have read The Apprentice Boy Part I. The Apprentice Boy is an African story of a Nigerian boy born in a poor family without any future. His father died after he fell from height, and there was no one to pay his schools fees. He loved to go to school, but his mother could not afford to send him to school. Eventually he managed to attain a high level of education through self-effort and hardwork. There were many obstacles on his way as he wrestled with life. The climax of his woes came when he was captured by some barbaric natives who needed human heads for a sacrificial burial for a dead King. While Part I of The apprentice Boy narrated the boys life from age 4 up to age 22, when he was captured by barbaric natives, Part II narrated what happened to the young man in his captivity. The book is rich with Nigerian (African) legend, idioms, and figurative speech. It is excellent for improving the knowledge of English language, especially for English learners. The Book is also excellent for English Literature text book in High Schools and Universities.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Here is the book Merlin could have given a young Arthur . . . if only it had existed. Out of the millions of Harry Potter fans worldwide, there are tens of thousands who want to really do the magical things J.K. Rowling writes about. But would-be wizards must rely on information passed down from wizard elders. Is there a Hogwarts anywhere in the real world? A real Albus Dumbledore? Where is the book these aspiring wizards need? Luckily for all those fans, Oberon Zell-Ravenheart, today’s foremost genuine wizard, has written the essential handbook. What’s more, he has gathered some of the greatest names in Wicca—including Ellen Evert Hopman, Raymond Buckland, Raven Grimassi, Patricia Telesco, Jesse Wolf Hardin, Morning Glory Zell-Ravenheart, and many more into a modern-day “Grey Council” to publish for the first time everything an aspiring wizard needs to know. Lurking within the pages of Grimoire for the Apperntice Wizard are: Biographies of famous wizards of history and legend Detailed descriptions of magickal tools and regalia (with full instructions for making them) Rites and rituals for special occasions A bestiary of mythical creatures The Laws of Magick Myths and stories of gods and heroes Lore and legends of the stars and constellations Instruction for performing amazing illusions, special effects, and many other wonders of the magical multiverse Praise forGrimoire for the Apprentice Wizard “I can’t think of a better, more qualified person to write a Handbook for Apprentice Wizards. Oberon is a Wizard.” —Raymond Bucklland, author of Buckland’s Complete Book of Witchcraft “Oberon is not only extremely learned in the magickal arts but he communicates that knowledge with wit and charm.” —Fiona Horne, author of Witch: A Magickal Journey and star of Mad, Mad, Mad House
