Wall, author of the report, stated that this 7-year period of rapid reduction in total farm mortgage indebtedness was marked by a continuous increase in the amount of assets held by lending agencies in the form of farm real estate. These farms were acquired through liquidation of loans by foreclosure or assignment of title to the mortgage holder.
