Start with the “Lower Beginner” books followed by the “Beginner” and “Upper Beginner” books. Next, progress to the “Intermediate” series, then test and reinforce your knowledge with the “Conversations” series. Our experienced educators and speakers possess the linguistic skills to help you understand and speak Norwegian clearly. We are very proud to have developed a product that truly helps you learn Norwegian quickly and easily, anytime and anywhere. This audiobook is divided into units. While it provides different learning patterns and accommodates various needs, this audiobook focuses on helping you improve your ability to understand, speak, and memorise Norwegian. The sample will give you a taste of what you can look forward to. In Unit 1 you will hear Norwegian decoded with each syllable spoken very slowly and clearly with repetition. Immediately before each sentence is spoken, you will hear the translation, so you will always understand what is being said. Unit 2 focuses solely on increasing your listening ability, which will improve your abilities to engage in dialogue with a native Norwegian speaker. This chapter requires you to listen very carefully to nuances in the language. By Unit 3 you will already notice progress in your abilities to speak and understand Norwegian. The spoken translation is followed by two repetitions in Norwegian at a completely natural speed. While you are learning to process naturally spoken Norwegian, Units 3 and 4 will help you memorise new vocabulary and full sentences. In Unit 5 you can test yourself on how much you have learned. If you are having difficulties, we suggest you revisit the listening, speaking, or memorisation section of Units 1, 2 3 or 4, according to what you need more help with. We developed our audiobooks to enable you to learn without an eBook. This gives you the opportunity to advance your Norwegian language skills anywhere whether you’re on the go or waiting around. As the audiobook is neatly arranged into many sub-units, it is also very practical for educators to navigate and use in classrooms or any time sensitive learning environment. Topics covered in this 2 part series: Part 1: - Greetings - Asking personal information - Asking about people or things - Talking about food - Talking about the current time and date Part 2: - Talking about the location of things - Describing things - Likes and dislikes - Talking about abilities - Talking about appearance - Talking about personality - Talking about the weather - Talking about the house (rooms and furniture)

Left floating in orbit around the Blind Idiot God Azathoth at the centre of the universe, she learns the depth of Nyarlathotep’s plans and her part in it all. An event is approaching, but what is it? And can they stop it? This collection of linked short stories pulls the reader into a modern take on the world of H. P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. The Pyramid of the Black Pharaoh: In a show of international co-operation, Malcolm joins a group of investigators drawn from around the world to investigate a mysterious pyramid uncovered in the Egyptian desert. Their delve into a building hidden for thousands of years starts in motion a terrifying future. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "[Book 2] sears the reader because Knausgaard is a passionate idealist [who] wants to fight the conformity and homogeneity of modern bourgeois existence." —James Wood, The New Yorker In the second installment of Karl Ove Knausgaard's monumental six-volume masterpiece, the character Karl Ove Knausgaard moves to Stockholm, where, having left his wife, he leads a solitary existence. He strikes up a deep friendship with another exiled Norwegian, a Nietzschean intellectual and boxing fanatic named Geir. He also tracks down Linda, whom he met at a writers' workshop a few years earlier and who fascinated him deeply. My Struggle: Book 2 is at heart a love story—the story of Karl Ove falling in love with his second wife. But the novel also tells other stories: of becoming a father, of the turbulence of family life, of outrageously unsuccessful attempts at a family vacation, of the emotional strain of birthday parties for children, and of the daily frustrations, rhythms, and distractions of city life keeping him from (and filling) his novel. It is a brilliant work that emphatically delivers on the unlikely promise that many hundreds of pages later readers will be left breathlessly demanding more.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Within a new model of language acquisition, this book discusses verb second (V2) word order in situations where there is variation in the input. While traditional generative accounts consider V2 to be a parameter, this study shows that, in many languages, this word order is dependent on fine distinctions in syntax and information structure. Thus, within a split-CP model of clause structure, a number of "micro-cues" are formulated, taking into account the specific context for V2 vs. non-V2 (clause type, subcategory of the elements involved, etc.). The micro-cues are produced in children s I-language grammars on exposure to the relevant input. Focusing on a dialect of Norwegian, the book shows that children generally produce target-consistent V2 and non-V2 from early on, indicating that they are sensitive to the micro-cues. This includes contexts where word order is dependent on information structure. The children s occasional non-target-consistent behavior is accounted for by economy principles."

Book excerpt: Nilda Carlson has been trying to save enough money to go to America for months, so when a letter from Einar and Gerd Strand arrives, offering to pay her ticket, she jumps at the chance. Her younger brother Ivar accompanies her, and they can't wait to join their brother Rune and his family in the northern forests of Minnesota. Signe and Rune Carlson are thrilled to welcome Nilda and Ivar to America, but life on the farm remains a struggle. Though Gerd has softened and grown to love the Carlson family, Einar is still harsh and unforgiving, obsessed solely with felling as many trees as possible. Rune is trying to build a new home for his wife and children, but Einar refuses to help and forbids anyone from the nearby community from stepping foot on his land. What dark secret must lie in his past to have caused him to isolate himself--and anyone living under his roof--in this way? When a tragedy lays the truth bare, the Carlsons and Strands will have to come together like never before and become a true family.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you always wanted to learn how to speak Norwegian but simply didn’t have the time? Well if so, then, look no further. You can hold in your hands one of the most advanced and revolutionary method that was ever designed for quickly becoming conversational in a language. In creating this time-saving program, master linguist Yatir Nitzany spent years examining the twenty-seven most common languages in the world and distilling from them the three hundred and fifty words that are most likely to be used in real conversations. These three hundred and fifty words were chosen in such a way that they were structurally interrelated and, when combined, form sentences. Through various other discoveries about how real conversations work—discoveries that are detailed further in this book—Nitzany created the necessary tools for linking these words together in a specific way so that you may become rapidly and almost effortlessly conversant—now. If your desire is to learn complicated grammatical rules or to speak perfectly proper and precise Norwegian, this book is not for you. However, if you need to actually hold a conversation while on a trip to Norway, to impress that certain someone, or to be able to speak with your grandfather or grandmother as soon as possible, then the Nitzany Method is what you have been looking for. This method is designed for fluency in a foreign language, while communicating in the present tense. Nitzany believes that what’s most important is actually being able to understand and be understood by another human being right away. More formalized training in grammar rules, etc., can come later. This is one of the several, in a series of instructional language guides, the Nitzany Method’s revolutionary approach is the only one in the world that uses its unique language technology to actually enable you to speak and understand native speakers in the shortest amount of time possible. No more depending on volumes of books of fundamental, beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, all with hundreds of pages in order to learn a language. With Conversational Norwegian Quick and Easy, all you need are forty-six pages. Learn Norwegian today, not tomorrow, and get started now!
