Russia is strengthening its ties with China, North Korea, Syria and Iran arming them with sophisticated military weaponry. Russia is building up its armed forces, returning to Cold War military tactics, including reopening ports used by the former Soviet Union. Tensions between Israel and Iran have never been higher with each nation poised to strike against the other in a moment's notice. Iran's nuclear ambition is well documented and is becoming a menace on the International stage. With Israel's very existence at stake, a preemptive strike against Iran's Russian built nuclear facilities is not out of the realm of possibility. A preemptive strike by Israel could provoke a retaliatory response by Russia and her allies. It seems that in a moment's notice the events described in Ezekiel 38 & 39 could break out right before our eyes...or is it? For many years, contemporary prophecy writers have been telling us that we are living in the last days and the Gog and Magog alliance is one sure sign that the Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ are near. However, there is strong biblical evidence that the candidate often identified as Gog, Russia, may not in fact be the candidate that Ezekiel was referring too. Using the Bible as a guide, we can figure out who this obscure person is instead of using today's newspapers. With a long history of well documented failed predictions by contemporary prophecy writers, maybe it's time that we begin to reevaluate today's popular interpretation of Ezekiel 38 & 39 in light of the Bible. Author's Bio: Christopher Jones is the church administrator for Faith Community Worship Center located in the San Francisco Bay Area where he also preaches part-time.

Washington DC, Taipei, NATO's North Cape naval picket, and two carrier combat groups have been destroyed by nuclear weapons. NATO is on the back foot and her potential allies are thinning out, as China shows no hesitation in levelling entire cities. Major Bedonavich and Svetlana Vorsoff are our spies with a conscience and now they are in from the cold, but someone will go to any lengths to exact revenge. Perhaps baiting the Bear in his lair is their only hope of survival? The NATO army in Europe, with the battered but defiant Coldstream Guards and US 82nd are holding the line. Vital supplies are enroute from America but the determination of those in the convoys and escorts is matched by those charged with sinking them. NATO needs to level the playing field, and then tilt it in their favour.

Book excerpt: Humanity pushed its way to the stars - and encountered the Gbaba, a ruthless alien race that nearly wiped us out. Earth and her colonies are now smoldering ruins, and the few survivors have fled to distant, Earth-like Safehold, to try to rebuild. But the Gbaba can detect the emissions of an industrial civilization, so the human rulers of Safehold have taken extraordinary measures: with mind control and hidden high technology, they've built a religion in which every Safeholdian believes, a religion designed to keep Safehold society medieval forever. 800 years pass. In a hidden chamber on Safehold, an android from the far human past awakens. This "rebirth" was set in motion centuries before, by a faction that opposed shackling humanity with a concocted religion. Via automated recordings, "Nimue" - or, rather, the android with the memories of Lieutenant Commander Nimue Alban - is told her fate: she will emerge into Safeholdian society, suitably disguised, and begin the process of provoking the technological progress which the Church of God Awaiting has worked for centuries to prevent. Nothing about this will be easy. To better deal with a medieval society, "Nimue" takes a new gender and a new name, "Merlin." His formidable powers and access to caches of hidden high technology will need to be carefully concealed. And he'll need to find a base of operations, a Safeholdian country that's just a little more freewheeling, a little less orthodox, a little more open to the new. And thus Merlin comes to Charis, a mid-sized kingdom with a talent for naval warfare. He plans to make the acquaintance of King Haarahld and Crown Prince Cayleb, and maybe, just maybe, kick off a new era of invention. Which is bound to draw the attention of the Church...and, inevitably, lead to war. It's going to be a long, long process. And it's going to be the can't-miss SF epic of the decade.

Book excerpt: Ten Billion Years to Armageddon is a masterpiece novel, a timeless conflict spanning history from the dawn of time, to the here and now, catching glimpses of man's future on planet earth and beyond. Authors Herman and Joya move their characters through a scenario in which the search for Truth and Answers about the universe are the central themes. At the same time the main characters are planning to fleece 2 casinos simultaneously. Herman finished his manuscript in 1978, he was talking in his original manuscript about; the Avatar, a Dear John letter and Kingdom of Heaven long before Hollywood tycoons did. His novel can be classified as futuristic realism or fictional fantasy. He left the partly unfinished manuscript to his daughter Joya to complete. So the book became actually a cowritten work between father and daughter. Joya taking the development of the heist story mainly into account and the book adaption. 'I proudly present today; TBYA; the book denied to the public for more than 30 years.' Jo
