Book excerpt: DescriptionNick's inventive book of poetry very accurately potrays, both in its content and also in the style of presentation, what it is like to be manic. With his poetry Nick attempts to tackle many subjects from abuse at the hands of mental health professionals to love and relationships. Nick's linguistic inventiveness can be hard to follow at first, but soon it becomes apparent that the rich vocabulary and inventive use of language is all part of the way Nick communicates his feelings on the topics he is discussing. This is a rich, varied and interesting collection. About the AuthorI was born in South Kensington, London in 1960 to an Italian immigrant father and an English mother. Book excerpt: It's Halloween in Brambleberry Bay and trick-or-treaters aren't the only ones running amuck around town-so is a killer. -Murder for Beginners is so cozy it's criminal! A mind reader. Talking pets. An arrogant homicide detective. A murder club. And a corpse.Welcome to the club. Getting in was easy. Getting out can be murder. Living in Brambleberry Bay is proving to be a real killer. A Cozy Mystery by New York Times, USA TODAY, and Wall Street Journal bestseller Addison Moore -Humor with a side of homicide.Cosmopolitan Magazine calls Addison's books, "...easy, frothy fun!"Includes Recipe! My name is Hattie Holiday, and I can read minds. Sure people have all kinds of rouge thoughts running around up there, but I'm far more interested in using my special abilities to talk to my cat, Cricket, and our new friend Rookie, an adorable Golden Retriever that happens to belong to a certain ornery detective. Spooky season is here and the entire town is headed to Moonstone Manor for cheap thrills and chills. On orders from my boss at the country club, I head over myself to see if I can snag any haunted ideas for our own upcoming All Hallows' Eve Gala. But just my luck, instead of finding some scary inspiration, I stumble upon a body. Not only that, but the ongoing murder investigation of the woman who once held my position at the country club starts to heat up as the suspect list expands. But someone out there doesn't appreciate my snooping. In fact, they make it clear they'd rather see me dead. Here's hoping I live long enough to go trick-or-treating or in the least eat a candy bar or two. Something tells me this will be the spookiest Halloween that Brambleberry Bay has ever seen. Living in Brambleberry Bay can be a real killer.

Book excerpt: The instant #1 New York Times and USA Today best seller by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, the voices behind the hit podcast My Favorite Murder! Sharing never-before-heard stories ranging from their struggles with depression, eating disorders, and addiction, Karen and Georgia irreverently recount their biggest mistakes and deepest fears, reflecting on the formative life events that shaped them into two of the most followed voices in the nation. In Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered, Karen and Georgia focus on the importance of self-advocating and valuing personal safety over being ‘nice’ or ‘helpful.’ They delve into their own pasts, true crime stories, and beyond to discuss meaningful cultural and societal issues with fierce empathy and unapologetic frankness. “In many respects, Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered distills the My Favorite Murder podcast into its most essential elements: Georgia and Karen. They lay themselves bare on the page, in all of their neuroses, triumphs, failures, and struggles. From eating disorders to substance abuse and kleptomania to the wonders of therapy, Kilgariff and Hardstark recount their lives with honesty, humor, and compassion, offering their best unqualified life-advice along the way.” —Entertainment Weekly “Like the podcast, the book offers funny, feminist advice for survival—both in the sense of not getting killed and just, like, getting a job and working through your personal shit so you can pay your bills and have friends.” —Rolling Stone At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.
