There are many lessons to be learned from his mentors while growing up in Oklahoma and Kansas. While still a student at Manhattan Christian College, he became the minister of Glenn Park Christian Church in 1955 where he served until 1972. He took the church from a handful of people to over a thousand members. Kenneth married Phyliss Jean Alexander in 1956, who became his "partner in ministry" for the next fifty-plus years. Kenneth, as always, contributed his success in ministry to his partnership with Phyliss. Kenneth has always been attracted to great challenges. He left Glenn Park and accepted the position of vice president of Christian Missionary Fellowship in Indianapolis. The organization was on the brink of collapse, and Kenneth rejuvenated their mission and raised the support for their continued operation. Today, CMF is a thriving and well-funded missionary-sending organization. His next challenge, he accepted the position of vice president of Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, even though he was told they would probably have to close due to the lack of finances. In less than a year, Kenneth raised the funds to eliminate their debt and underwrite their future. All three of these positions were used by God to prepare him for his greatest challenge, to be the President of Manhattan Christian College. The reader will be blessed by reading about Kenneth's faith and perseverance, and especially the Miracle Campaign that saved Manhattan Christian College from foreclosure. Manhattan is where Kenneth continued his very successful service until his retirement. His life will cause the reader to think about their own legacy.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In December 1943 Monte La Difensa was part of the formidable German defences overlooking the Allies' planned route to Rome via Monte Cassino. In the First Special Service Force's first combat in the Mediterranean theater, the Force would employ its special training in mountain and winter warfare to scale the peak, capture it, and then hold it against the inevitable German counterattacks. Astonishing their superiors, the First Special Service Force succeeded in the face of seemingly impossible odds, but suffered a 77 percent casualty rate. Their victory, founded on their aggressive doctrine and extensive training in a variety of combat techniques, would prove instrumental in the postwar development of special forces. Employing full-colour artwork, archive photographs, and first-hand accounts from participants, the author examines the origins, execution, and aftermath of the FSSF's spectacular success at Monte La Difensa amid the savage winter conditions of December 1943.

It's about how I got my first guitar and how I was caught up in the Merseybeat phenomenon of the 1960s.I was desperate to make music my career and I managed to go from playing on the church youth clubs of Liverpool to the Cavern Club to Television and to The Albert Hall and The London Palladium. How I went on to work with Shirley Bassey, Morecambe and Wise, Benny Hill, Jimmy Tarbuck, Rolf Harris and many more and how I went on to perform for Prince Charles, The Queen and Prince Phillip. But it's also the story of the hard times in the Workingmen's Clubs and Miner's Clubs of the North East and South Wales the late late nights and the boring travelling. It's a story with humour and sadness, elation and disappointment. How it all started and how it all ended and it's also about the many friends I met along the way.

Book excerpt: * Meticulously researched, engagingly written stories * Filled with historical photographs The Monte Cristo area, pocketed in spectacularly beautiful mountains in the Pacific Northwest, has long intrigued visitors with its colorful history, rooted in the search for gold and silver as rich as the Count of Monte Cristo. Here is the complete story, from discovery to disillusionment as dreamed-of riches became the dust of a ghost town. The several decades of Monte Cristo's glory also saw the construction of the unique Everett & Monte Cristo Railway (a marvelous engineering mistake), and the founding of the city of Everett as a processing and shipping point for the expected riches of Monte's minesñall manipulated by Eastern corporate giants such as Rockefeller and the Guggenheims. And then there were the peopleñthe struggling railroaders, miners, merchants and their families, who dreamed, worked, failed and sometimes died in Monte Cristo's unforgiving winters. What was the true extent of Monte Cristo's fabled riches? How could the skilled geologists of the day be so wrong? The answers, for Monte Cristo like so many other boom-and-bust towns of the Old West, make fascinating reading.

Book excerpt: A story of Monte, a tiny squirrel monkey, and his friend Jack are captured by men involved in the illegal selling of endangered species on the black market. The pair escape their captors at the destination on Catalina Island. Evading re-capture, they travel from Avalon to the backside of the island, stumbling into the center of a Ceremonial Indian Gathering. Jack is re-taken prisoner by Joaquin, an evil medicine man who is the Keeper of the Badlands. Receiving a Warriors' blessing from the chief of the tribe, Montes' mission is to rescue Jack. Through the process of gaining the knowledge necessary to achieve this, Monte meets many others; those in the waters around and on Catalina Island, the children who were lost at sea that now inhabit Fantasy World, and some individuals living in San Pedro, California. The story progresses through Montes' escapades, including his face-off with Joaquin in the waters between Catalina and the Mainland. As a young boy, born and raised in San Pedro, California, the Port of Los Angeles, I was fascinated by the landmass of Catalina Island. A mere 26 miles from home, yet it wasn't until I was 26 that I finally arrived. Today I still live near water, but far from my beloved ocean. The ocean and Santa Catalina Island has always drawn me. After my visit, and several additional trips, my curiosity was more than satisfied. It gives me great pleasure to present the one-on one journey into the Montes' Tale.
