Book excerpt: How many of our distinguished scientists have derived honour and credit by merely dressing up the ideas of those old philosophers, whom they are ever ready to disparage, is left to an impartial posterity to say. An era of disenchantment and rebuilding has already begun. The cycle has almost run its course; a new one is about to begin, and the future pages of history may convey full proof of the above. The “Primal Being” is an emanation of the Demiurgic or Universal Mind, which contains from eternity the idea of the “to be created world” within Itself, which idea the Unmanifested Logos produces of itself. The first Idea, “born in darkness before the creation of the world,” remains in the Unmanifested Mind; the second Idea, a reflection from the Universal Mind, becomes clothed with matter and assumes objective existence.

This book was released on 2019-05-30 with total page 27 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Metaphysical, mystical, and philosophical excerpts from Dr. N.I. Pirogov, Problems of Life: The Diary of an Old Physician. Selected and translated from the Russian by H.P. Blavatsky, with extensive annotations and commentary. The thoughts of the false “I” or “personality,” are mere shadows of the true Individuality and Higher Ego. The records of past events and passing thoughts, even the most trifling ones, are impressed on the imperishable waves of Astral Light, not in the brain alone. Intuition is divine but faith is human, and the misapplication of inner intuition. “Personality,” being the illusion of separateness, is the root cause of all selfishness and evil. It has to be conquered and crushed before the lower is united with its higher counterpart. Loss of mind is due to the paralysis of the higher functions in Kama-Manas, the physical mind and, in cases of incurable insanity, to the severance of the lower self from the Higher Self during a person’s lifetime, thus preventing the reunion of the two. When one falls into a love of self and love of the world, with its pleasures, losing the divine love of God and of the neighbour, he falls from the illusionary life and fear of death to real death. The higher principles, which constitute the essential elements of his humanity perish, and he lives only on the natural plane of his faculties. The “atoms” of Science are not of this earth but belong to quite a different plane. And the atomic theory is on a par only with the undulatory theory of light. The Ether of Space is considerably different from the medium of Science. The chasm between mind and matter is impassable. No theory of evolution or “heredity” will ever cover or explain the mystery. The incessantly rolling and waving Ocean of Life of Dr. Pirogov is the triply manifested Deity of the Occultists — two opposing forces of spirituality and animalism eternally reacting upon each other, Universal Mind, and Eternal Atom. The immortal Higher Ego (Nous) is man’s true Individuality, that keeps reincarnating in a new personality at every birth. Dr. Pirogov’s purely natural idealism is a spiritual perception of eternal truths, that no scientific sophistry could destroy or even blunt. He esteems Truth higher than Science. Physical Science calls “atoms” that which the Occultists regard as particles or molecules. The real Atoms are the inner principles and the intelligent, spiritual guides of the cells and particles they inform. Man is produced in the image of God or Divine Nature. Every cell in the human organism corresponds with a like “cell” in the divine organism or the manifested universe. The “I” of man or Microcosm, and the Universe or Macrocosm are illusions, inseparable and interdependent, but illusion nevertheless. The human mind, or lower manas, is a direct ray or reflection of a Higher Principle, the Noetic Mind. The latter is the reincarnating Ego, which old Aryan philosophers call Manasaputras, the “Sons of Mind” or Mahat — the Universal Cosmic Mind. Dr. Pirogov can hardly be taken to task and declared unscientific, in accepting the existence of a seven-dimensional space in co-ordination with the seven states of consciousness. In the course of natural evolution our “brain-mind” will be replaced by a finer and more spiritually receptive organism, helped by the sixth and the seventh senses. A Higher Principle may be independent of the matter it rules, but only when outside of space and time. God is the centre; the Intellectual-Principle, an unmoving circle; Soul, a circle in motion. As our mind is but the product of Universal Mind, so is the latter but a differentiated ray of the Absolute Mind or No-Mind — a state of Perfect Unconsciousness. Atom is not the smallest constituent unit of matter, not even a mathematical point, it is an immutable Entity, a reality within an appearance — the molecule being in Occult Philosophy but a figment of maya-illusion. It may be described as a compact or crystallized point of divine Energy and Ideation. Occultism affirms that there is no such thing as inert, dead, or even inorganic matter. Time is abstract motion in space, i.e., force acting in space and transforming itself, by this very action, into substance. In philosophy the term empirical is the product of experience and observation, plus Science. The “sensing principle” in us is an entity capable of acting outside as inside its material body; and it is certainly independent of any organ in particular, in its actions — although during its incarnation it manifests itself through its physical organs. Our Higher Ego is a ray of the Universal Mind, individualized for the span of a cosmic life-cycle, during which time it gets experience through almost numberless reincarnations or rebirths, before returning to its Parent-Source. There are two minds in man, two aspects of the same divine principle, the higher or true Individuality, and the lower or Personality. It is these two that during our lifetime are in incessant struggle, the one trying to gravitate heavenward, the other dragged down by its animal nature to the earth earthy. Nothing that takes place, no manifestation however rapid or weak, can ever be lost from the skandhic records of a man’s life. The Universal Memory preserves every motion, the slightest wave and feeling that ripples the waves of differentiated nature, whether of man or of Universe. The metaphysician and the theosophist will applaud almost every word Dr. Pirogov says, regretting only that men of such profoundly intuitional nature should be so rare among the men of science.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are Spirits and Spirits; High Planetary Spirits who have been human beings millions of ages since, and upon other besides our own planet; there are the illusionary appearances of these, projected upon the intra-psychic screen of our mediumistic, hence confused, perceptions; and there are seers and mediums, as there are great men of science, willing and sincere, but ignorant tyros. Spiritualism has spawned almost as many books as a herring does eggs. There can be no spiritual intercourse, either with the souls of the living or the dead, unless it is preceded by self-spiritualization, the conquest of selfishness, and the unfoldment of the nobler powers within us. Spiritualism and Theosophy are mere opinions and beliefs, and nothing more. They can no more claim to be regarded as “facts” than any other emotional belief, for the facts of one will be delusion in the eyes of the other. Spiritualists and Theosophists fully agree that there are higher and pure spirits outside the realm of our physical senses. But they entirely disagree as to the nature and causal agency of “communicating intelligences.” The “disembodied spirits,” instead of having become the wiser for being rid of the physiological impediments and the restraints of their gross material senses, would seem to have become far more stupid, far less perspicacious and, in every respect, worse than they were during their earthly life. As nations became restricted by their own tongue, the once-universal Mystery Language is being gradually denied to subsequent generations. While the disciples of Eastern Occultism are trying to purify matter, Western Spiritualists are striving to degrade spirit. Spiritualists and Theosophists travel along a parallel, if not quite identical, path. Yet, to those bereft of a metaphysico-spiritual vocabulary, Eastern Occultism will remain impassable to the babel tower of modern thought, caused by ignorance of the true meaning of words and their synonyms, a skin deep learning leading to mistaken notions, and the tendency of elevating misconceptions to the dignity of dogmas. If people would stop speculating, and would simply stick to substantiated fact, truth would be more readily attained in each and every case. Truth stands higher than any earthly consideration ever will. Let each of us show our facts and give our explanations; and let those who are neither Occultists, Spiritualists, nor sceptics, adjudicate between the contestant parties. The world must learn at last, under the penalty of falling back to superstitious beliefs in the biblical devil, why such phenomena do so happen, and to what cause or causes they are to be attributed. New Dispensation is the latest folly of dogmatic Christianity. We are not acquainted with a god who thinks, plots, rewards, punishes, and repents. The only god whom we serve is humanity, and our only cult is love of our fellow man. This our religion and dogma. Men have done their best to replace the solar rays with the false glare of error and fiction; none more so than the bigoted, narrow-minded theologians and priests of every faith, the sophists and perverters of the Spirit of Truth. Parsifal is the theatrical representation of good and evil in a supreme struggle. It is our universe, saved through atonement; it is sin redeemed through grace, and the triumph of faith and charity. Thus far, Pilate’s “What is truth?” has never been sufficiently answered to the satisfaction of narrow-minded sectarians. The Theosophical Society upholds and advocates only corroborated facts and Truth, and nothing but the Truth, whencesoever and from whomsoever it may come. Our views have to stand or fall upon their own merit, since we claim neither divine revelation nor infallibility. We will not serve Truth and Falsehood at the same time. Our policy is war to death to every unproved dogma, superstition, bigotry, and intolerance.

Book excerpt: This book is a collection of many different texts approaching the phenomenon Blavatsky and her influence on how Western world is dealing with God and Jesus. There is of course a huge ocean of manifold perceptions throughout space and time, and humans had always a tendency to change the way of perception and thinking compared to their ancestors. A human has no other chance after having been thrown into this world than studying a great deal of texts and witnesses in order to find plausible reason (at least for himself or herself) to find answers on what is real and what is truth. Thousand nine hundred years ago Epictetus wrote his famous ταράσσει τοὺς ἀνθρώπους οὐ τὰ πράγματα, ἀλλὰ τὰ περὶ τῶν πραγμάτων δόγματα, meaning Men are disturbed not by things, but by the views which they take of things (Enchiridion 5). Dogma comes from δόγμα, and this means nothing else than view or opinion – a quite human and at least harmless business coming from language alone. But humans have transformed both, view and opinion into a sharp sword able to harm or even kill those being considered dissenters. That way dogmatism became a synonym for bad taste and constriction. Madame Blavatsky was against church dogmatism and finally got trapped in her own dogma based ideology called theosophy, and the whole complex has indeed changed the world. At that the story is not over yet. Those texts I provided consist of freely available material found at different pages, and they will challenge you to listen carefully to your own flow of thoughts and feelings. No one is supposed to either love or hate Madame Blavatsky and her work, but rather finding a kind of understanding giving you comfort to live according your mental, intellectual and soul perception of God and Jesus. Maybe you will discover the value of the New Testament text (27 books as usual) anew even without being really able to name such process correctly. Blavatsky has opened a door which is now wide open, and it can ́t get shut again by merciless apologetics. Some see Satan raging in this world blaming Madame, others perceive new spiritual possibilities as well as frontiers. See for yourself and have a little patience. Even Blavatsky is not bigger than God who will surely not leave those alone who wish to be grounded in love, truth and humble kindness as the New Testament Jesus reveals...

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We are dual, manifested, aspects of an ultimate state of Unconsciousness, the One and only Reality. The Secret Doctrine asserts that out of a Perfect, Unconditioned, Unmanifested Consciousness, myriads of short-lived, bundles of individualised consciousnesses keep emerging, like sparks of a fire. That is how Unknowable Causality evolves to omnipresent mind and life immanent in every atom, and keeps transferring informing principles from one planet to the other, from one eternity to another. Intelligent Law is an aspect of Cosmic Consciousness. It governs Universe, Man and All. Consciousness, Universe, and Karman are one and the same, inseparable and inter-dependent. The whole Universe is the sum total of multifarious states of Consciousness. The only Reality is Ultimate Unconsciousness within the bosom of Parabrahman. All else is maya-illusion. Cosmic Ideation and Cosmic Substance are inseparable, interdependent, and readily convertible into each other. The Fire of Unconsciousness unfolds from within without and differentiates to sparks of self-consciousness. Even our senses are progressive differentiations of That One Sense-Consciousness. Beware! Impulses of Psychic Force, act from without within. Noetic Force acts from within without. Spirit and Matter are illusionary aspects of the One Consciousness which underpins and sustains All. Spirit can only cognise Itself through the flesh or “matter.” Thus matter is an aggregate of objects of possible perception. Endless Worlds are set into motion by an unquenchable Desire for Self-Knowledge that burns silently in the bosom of Parabrahman. When “the last vibration of the Seventh Eternity thrills through Infinitude,” the Fire of Desire becomes Fohat, or Light of Logos. It differentiates primordial matter into atoms, seeds of manifold Life, ever-revealing latent, unmanifested, potentialities of Infinite Thought and Ideals to the perception of finite minds. Consciousness is septenary. It vibrates and illumines the seven brains of the heart as it does the seven divisions or rays around the pineal gland. For the heart is the abode of Spiritual Consciousness. The Higher Mind or Manas is Spiritual Self-Consciousness, itself; Divine Consciousness, when united with Buddhi. The Lower Mind with its seven gateways is the organ of animal or terrestrial consciousness. Every single cell in our body is gifted with a brain and a consciousness of its own. Thus Consciousness is the essence of our being, the mystery in us that calls itself “I,” a breath of Heaven. One day, when our true individuality is withdrawn in the Unconscious Immateriality of its Divine Counterpart, it mayregain the true happiness of Non-Being. But “the seed is not quickened, except it die.” Everything in the Universe, throughout its kingdoms, is conscious, i.e., endowed with a consciousness of its own kind; a kind we do not always understand. Every World emanates from a single Unevolved Cause. And, like all else, our World has a Soul. Though eternal and changeless in Its inner essence, the Soul of the World alters during Its outer manifestations. This has been the subject of centuries of scholastic disputations. Consciousness is the One and only Capacity of Perception, ever analysing and reflecting upon Itself. Humanity is a periodic manifestation of Cosmic Consciousness. Spirit, Soul, and Matter are Consciousness’ three aspects integrated by Consciousness Itself. Universal Consciousness is unlimited and beyond space and time. While it can only be expressed through matter, it is not of matter, It is our Sensing Principle. Other considerations of the intrinsic Intelligence of Consciousness include the Unity of Spirit and Trinity of Nature. Personal, individualised, consciousness, ego and egoism, mind and mentality, self and selfishness, I-ness and me-ness, character and charisma, persona and personality, individualism and capitalism, they are all one and the same: they are the cause of separateness and all suffering in the world! Consciousness can neither imagine its own cessation nor its own beginning. Though Its contents are of a pseudo-infinite duration, It is the dream that never dies. Every plane of consciousness creates a different level of illusion. Everything is maya-illusion. Can we ever account for the origin of consciousness? Life and death are illusions, time is illusion. The illusion of time is produced by the panoramic succession of our states of consciousness. Time does not exist even in sleep! All things are real but only relatively real. The Infinite can only see Itself through the eyes of the finite. When the Infinite cannot conceive Itself by Itself, How can the finite ever perceive the Infinite? Such feats are beyond the boundary of human capability. That’s why the Infinite is, and will remain forever, Unknown and Unknowable. Only by abandoning personal thoughts and pursuits, the lower mind can begin to ascend toward its higher counterpart. Such an uplifting of consciousness can only be attained by self-devised but unselfish efforts, checked by Karman. Finally, Madame Blavatsky affirms three requisites for those who are after self-knowledge.
