In benevolent aspects, he is depicted as an omniscient Yogi who lives an ascetic life on Mount Kailash in addition to a householder with spouse Parvati and his children, Ganesha and Kartikeya.Pancha Bootha temples are located in south India. Pancha Bhoota Stalam refers to five temples dedicated to Shiva. They are Srikalahasti (vayu), Kanchipuram (Earth), Thiruvannamalai (Fire), Thiruvanaikaval (Water) & Chidambaram (Aakaash). Tamil literature is enriched by means of Shiva devotees referred to as sixty three Nayanmars (Nayanars).
