What emerged was the picture of someone completely misunderstood by history. This research project became both a lesson on investigative techniques and an amazing personal adventure. I followed the evidence even when the trail seemed contrary to the existing facts. Suddenly, new clues would emerge that put me back on track. Just when I thought the mystery was solved, another deeper story would come to light. It has truly been a life changing experience. And it appears that I am as yet, still only at the beginning. My hope for this book is that the story will finally get out to the public and the truth will prevail. My hope for the reader is that they enjoy the adventure...and that it may inspire others to inquire.
