Santa's just reported that the entire tone and texture of Earth has darkened, in the USA especially, on his Christmas rounds this year.It seems a would-be tyrant is gearing up to tyrannize. America's democratic republic teeters on its last legs, this mockery of a man having rent its fabric, perhaps irreparably, in the weeks since his highly suspect election.Checks and balances? Out the window. Sexists, racists, anti-Semites, science deniers, homophobes, fake Christians, and bigots of every stripe feel emboldened to publicly trot out the cockroach natures they've hitherto hidden. When the sanity God and Saint Nick wait for refuses to materialize, it's up to them to visit this godforsaken fucker moments after his super-weird inauguration and, in the infinite space afforded them by magic time, repair his wounded psyche.Although it's a psyche as warped and mangled as any God Almighty has ever seen, he has a plan. He has several plans. But one by one, they fall through.Holy Hannah! Will God and Saint Nick succeed in threading their way through this perverse morass of Trumpian motherfuckery? Or are they . . . well, you know . . . DOOMED TO FAIL?Hold onto your hats, boys and girls. You're in for a wild ride!

Book excerpt: "Millions of Americans." declared Dallas megachurch pastor Robert Jeffries in 2017, "believe the election of President Trump represented God giving us another chance-perhaps our last chance-to truly make America great again. Our job was to elect him once God showed us the way. We thank Our Lord to this day that we did. Donald Trump got elected because someone whispered in the individual ears of millions of Americans. The voice said that together in this election, we could make a difference, and Donald Trump would be that difference. The people trusted this self-made Billionaire to do what was best for America and not the bidding of slimy politicians or political donors and hacks. Donald Trump was the only candidate for president who offered Americans a breath of fresh air from the stodgy, bossy, establishment elites in both the Democratic and Republican Parties. Trump defied the status quo of rich donors controlling the government for their personal benefit. Donald Trump to many, including myself is a great gift from God himself. Donald J. Trump loves America and American traditional values. Just look at the goodness that he instilled into his own children. He is not a liberal fool or a progressive socialist tool who hates America. He is simply for America and Americans First. So are you and I if we think about it for a while. The corrupt anti-American mainstream press still does not like Trump because he represents normal God-loving and God-fearing Americans and not the fringe sectors of the country. They hate him. He calls them out as the fakes they are. They hate him because he is not controlled by anyone - Dem Party or wimpy swamp-dwelling Republicans. Neither gave Trump an inch and they undermine America by undermining our president. Donald Trump does pay attention to God and Americans are glad that he does. If Mr. Trump happened to be crossing the street and he stepped off a curb and crushed a newly fallen fully formed beautiful blue robin egg, the press would hang him for being anti-bird, anti-animal, and uncaring. Meanwhile when he ran for president, his opponent had gotten four Americans with mothers and fathers back home killed in Benghazi and the press would not even acknowledge the story. Something was wrong, and you know what it was. We needed Donald Trump and Mike Pence to bring America back to reality and truth. That's "Why Trump Got Elected!" That's why God intervened in this great 2016 election. The country's issues included oppressive taxation; legal and illegal immigrants stealing the best jobs; regulations choking businesses; huge debt and deficits shackling our capital resources; a government Obamacare system that added taxes and made health worse; and corporate offshoring, which created a weaker nation. Mrs. Clinton was ready to continue this because she supported Barack H. Obama's policies which had created the whole mess in the first place. Additionally, we have a massive energy dependency on our enemies. We redistribute wealth from producers to non-producers. We permit a huge, growing, inefficient government to operate. It continually lies, taxes too much and spends more than it has. Our government had become enemy # 1 of the people. A good plan, endorsed by Mr. Trump, along with good leaders such as Donald Trump & Mike Pence is now in place and the plan and the leaders are already saving US from Obama perdition. That's "Why God Gave US Trump!"

Book excerpt: Sex, Death, and Santa Claus ... His generosity is legendary. He has a devoted wife, a crack team of sky-borne reindeer, hordes of industrious elves, and the love of good little boys and girls around the globe. But what unholy desires now propel him into the lascivious clutches of a certain fairy? And who was he before the sleigh and workshop, in times forgotten? ... She munches on molars, summons drowned sailors to her pleasure, and recalls, sharp as a pinprick, her life as the most savage of ash nymphs. Why then is she stuck, night after night, hovering above pillows to leave coins for gap-toothed brats? More important, how quickly can she captivate the jolly old elf to the north? ... He's huge, fluffy, lonesome, and unbearably horny. On his Easter rounds, he contrives, as often as possible, to get a grip on himself and peer into interesting bedrooms. But who in the world will throw him down and ravage him as the lovers under his gaze ravage one another? ... Deadite Press is proud to bring back the ultimate erotic Christmas story from Robert Devereaux

Book excerpt: One of the Top 10 Politics and Current Events Books of Fall 2019 (Publishers Weekly) An incisive cultural history that captures a fractious nation through the prism of television and the rattled mind of a celebrity president. Television has entertained America, television has ensorcelled America, and with the election of Donald J. Trump, television has conquered America. In Audience of One, New York Times chief television critic James Poniewozik traces the history of TV and mass media from the Reagan era to today, explaining how a volcanic, camera-hogging antihero merged with America’s most powerful medium to become our forty-fifth president. In the tradition of Neil Postman’s masterpiece Amusing Ourselves to Death, Audience of One shows how American media have shaped American society and politics, by interweaving two crucial stories. The first story follows the evolution of television from the three-network era of the 20th century, which joined millions of Americans in a shared monoculture, into today’s zillion-channel, Internet-atomized universe, which sliced and diced them into fractious, alienated subcultures. The second story is a cultural critique of Donald Trump, the chameleonic celebrity who courted fame, achieved a mind-meld with the media beast, and rode it to ultimate power. Braiding together these disparate threads, Poniewozik combines a cultural history of modern America with a revelatory portrait of the most public American who has ever lived. Reaching back to the 1940s, when Trump and commercial television were born, Poniewozik illustrates how Donald became “a character that wrote itself, a brand mascot that jumped off the cereal box and entered the world, a simulacrum that replaced the thing it represented.” Viscerally attuned to the media, Trump shape-shifted into a boastful tabloid playboy in the 1980s; a self-parodic sitcom fixture in the 1990s; a reality-TV “You’re Fired” machine in the 2000s; and finally, the biggest role of his career, a Fox News–obsessed, Twitter-mad, culture-warring demagogue in the White House. Poniewozik deconstructs the chaotic Age of Trump as the 24-hour TV production that it is, decoding an era when politics has become pop culture, and vice versa. Trenchant and often slyly hilarious, Audience of One is a penetrating and sobering review of the raucous, raging, farcical reality show—performed for the benefit of an insomniac, cable-news-junkie “audience of one”—that we all came to live in, whether we liked it or not.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Democracy is in peril and on the brink of extinction in the United States of America. There are many reasons why it has gotten to this point, but this book looks exclusively at the role Evangelical Christianity has played in the process. By infusing the Republican Party with its values, world view, and its vision for America, it has contributed to the divisiveness that has made it virtually impossible to govern. Our government is hopelessly crippled because of two different world views: one that is inherently racist and exclusionary where evidence doesn’t matter and authoritarianism is favored, and the other that is more inclusive and progressive—where evidence matters, science is respected, and democracy is valued. It is difficult to find a common ground between these world views and get anything done for the country, making alternative means of governing more attractive to people throughout the world who are watching what is happening in America.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Ransom that Lies Demand We the People and “Covfefe” By: Najah Mahir Troubled by the 2016 U.S. presidential election results, the #MeToo movement, and past abusive experiences in her own life, Najah Mahir began writing to provide a solution to the lies and oppression United States citizens, particularly women, were facing on a daily basis. She arrived at The Ransom that Lies Demand: We the People and Covfefe, a nonfiction book that boldly serves as part of a movement to attain knowledge and freedom while rejecting racism and harmful ideologies. Mahir explains that politics is just a religion that God is in charge of: a system that makes the human heart yearn for justice, and in this justice, “we look to God for freedom from things that there are no answers for.” Mahir traces the destructive effects of lies and abuse on a personal and political level, and, in so doing, offers readers hope for a future filled with justice.
