Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During the early 19th century the British came in direct contact with the Baloch, first with those living in the Punjab and Sind, and later with those in Balochistan proper. Soon after their arrival in the region, they began studying the Baloch as an ethno-national group, their language, literature, folklore, tribal structure, physical features, and so on, forming theories and suggesting hypotheses regarding their origins and relations with other nations and peoples. While some maintained that the Baloch originated from north-western Iran, others believed they came from Central Asia, from Arabia, or from else- where.1 Among the early British writers, some also opined that while some tribes might have a foreign origin, bulk of the Baloch were the autochthonous population of the country. With the passage of time, however, other theories were abandoned and a northwest Iranian origin came to be the widely accepted one. This thesis was established on three basic grounds: first, from the Balochi oral tradition which claims that the Baloch came from a place called Alab/Alap, identified as Aleppo in Syria by Western writers and later followed by some lo- cal writers too; secondly, their mention in the Shahnameh of Ferdowsi where they are sometimes shown along with the people of Gilan and Dilam, regions situated on the Caspian Sea regions; and thirdly, on the basis of their language, which is classified as belonging to the northwestern group of Iranian languages having close affinities with Kurdish and other languages of that branch.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Terrains of Exchange offers a bold new paradigm for understanding the expansion of Islam in the modern world. Through the model of religious economy, it traces the competition between Muslim, Christian and Hindu religious entrepreneurs that transformed Islam into a proselytising global brand. Drawing Indian, Arab, Iranian and Tatar Muslims together with Scottish missionaries and African-American converts, Nile Green brings to life the local sites of globalisation where Islam was repeatedly reinvented in modern times. Evoking terrains of exchange from Russia's imperial borderlands to the factories of Detroit and the ports of Japan, he casts a microhistorian's eye on the innovative new Islams that emerged from these sites of contact. Drawing on a multilingual range of materials, the book challenges the idea that globalisation has given rise to a unified "global Islam." Instead, it reveals the forces behind the fracturing of Islam in the hands of feuding and fissiparous "'religious firms". Terrains of Exchange not only presents global history as Islamic history. It also reveals the forces of that history at work in the world today.

Book excerpt: This book entitled Ambedlar and His Writings A look for the New Generation : is based on the study of Dr. BR Ambedkar s work and achievements during his life time what he did for the Depresses Classes as well as for general public with the writings of pen. Since Ambedkar is still as inspiration, as innovator and a challenge for the Brahminical society till date they could not change the thought of Sudhras, because he worked in the Devanagari script of the Nam or God. To highlight the significance of his role in the Round Table Conferences by Mr. Ramsay Macdonal and domination over Gandhi and Jinnha s idea, is the historical progress in human history in the interest of common man not for Brahmins; and war against the Brahminical pollution to end them with scientific study of the Nam is Important for the untouchables as an idea of Neo-Buddha and Kabir of Dr. B.R Ambedkar, as Baba Gurinder Singh Ji Biaswale is an advance idea to check the Brahminical pollution including modern politicians who dominated the society without any reasoning and logic as a mafia rulers of the present society like Gandhi and Jinnha. Thus, keeping in view, the egocentric approach of Gandhi and Jinnha, this book gives a challenge to the communal forces that Nam has been established as threat for themfor the establishment of Nam Society i.e, Radha Soami or Chamar having the same meaning as an advance approach for Civilization growth as Dr. Ambedkar has given during his life time.
