Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Offers practical guidance for how to work with diverse others, which is a precondition for confronting many of the complex challenges we face.” —Morris Rosenberg, President, Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Collaboration is increasingly difficult and increasingly necessary. Often, to get something done that really matters to us, we need to work with people we don’t agree with or like or trust. Adam Kahane has faced this challenge many times, working on big issues like democracy and jobs and climate change and on everyday issues in organizations and families. He has learned that our conventional understanding of collaboration—that it requires a harmonious team that agrees on where it’s going, how it’s going to get there, and who needs to do what—is wrong. Instead, we need a new approach to collaboration that embraces discord, experimentation, and genuine cocreation—which is exactly what Kahane provides in this groundbreaking and timely book. “Kahane shows that people who don’t see eye-to-eye really can come together to solve big challenges. Whether in our businesses, our governments, our communities, or our personal lives, we can all benefit from this smart and timely book.” —Mark Tercek, former President, The Nature Conservancy and coauthor of Nature’s Fortune “Shows us how thinking and seeing differently can help us navigate this challenging landscape. Kahane abandons orthodoxy in taking on the most intransigent problems, showing us the path to effective action in a complex world.” —James Gimian, coauthor of The Rules of Victory “Collaborating with the Enemy belongs on the same shelf as Sun Tzu’s The Art of War and Machiavelli’s The Prince.” —Stephen Huddart, President, The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation

Book excerpt: This book investigates the lived experience of CEOs in their quest for wholeness and presents a model of spiritual intelligence for contemporary leadership. The experience of ethical and spiritual crisis in the post-modern society especially in organizational leadership, calls for deeper quest and spiritual intelligence. Four essential themes emerged from the analysis of the in-depth interviews with top leaders of different organizations across the globe: (1) Sensing Crisis, (2) Embracing Crisis (3) Awakening Hidden Wholeness, (4) and Serving Greater Good. From the analysis of the themes, a model of spiritual intelligence and leadership wholeness is constructed. This Spiritual Intelligence Model portrays the intra-dynamics of leaders’ ongoing quest for wholeness penetrating through their existential, learning, spiritual, and moral dimensions of being and the five ethical dimensions of wholeness permeating through the personal, organizational, social, global, and environmental spheres of life. This book gives a fresh perspective on spiritual intelligence and leadership practice today.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Message from Almighty God to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on the Same Sex Marriage Act. Apostle Doctor Max Matonhodze Gay Marriage What does Almighty God Say? It is an unforgettable day, Monday the 6th of January 2014. - I woke up and Almighty God spoke to me clearly- “I have a message for you for the Prime Minister.” Did I hear correctly? I asked myself. “Lord is it you?” I asked. “Yes, it’s Me, write the message down.” The message started literally downloading. Almighty God started revealing that: The Same Sex Marriage Act of 2013 was a mistake, it crossed the line from heaven, and opens the nation to judgement from Almighty God. God loves gay people as He does everybody else and we all have a duty of love to them, to be kind and to allow equal opportunity and crucially to tell them the truth. The truth of Almighty God is eternal, it does not change with time or fashion. He says: “I am God and I change not.” There is deception of the enemy satan behind gay feeling, they do not originate from God. There is a way out which Almighty God has made for gay and all mankind through the sacrifice made by His Son Jesus Christ when He suffered, died on the cross and rose again from the dead on the third day. As you turn to Him, you will find that God is not angry with you, He is not even in a bad mood. To access forgiveness of Jesus Christ, you need to repent, that is change your mind, call on the name of Jesus Christ and align your thinking with God, knowing that Jesus Christ defeated and disarmed satan and gives every believer authority and victory over the wicked one satan. This book explains, with extraordinary clarity, issues that have daunted many government leaders, many Christian leaders, many gay people and many ordinary people. While this book contains the message for the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, this message is also meant for Government leaders across the nations of Planet Earth, Christian leaders, gay people everywhere as well as ordinary people across the nations of Planet Earth.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: R.S. Sugirtharajah shows how at the height of European colonialism whilst the colonizers were studying the sacred texts of Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhs and Zoroastrians, the Hindus were themselves scrutinizing the invader's book – the Christian Bible. Sugirtharajah examines how these Hindus transformed the Bible into what they deemed fit for and suited to their contexts. The result was that the Bible acquired a totally different form and lost its authority as the Book of the Empire. Sugirtharajah shows how the resistant, subversive and at times antagonistic readings of the Hindus went beyond what the colonizer had intended. Sadly what these Hindus made of the Bible went largely unnoticed and was ignored by Western scholarship. This volume seeks to rectify this regrettable omission and to place both the Hindu reformers and nationalists attitude to the Bible in their own specific context and to allow them to speak on their own terms rather than reading them with Christian preconception. The Hindu reformers covered include figures such as Raja Rammohun Roy, Arumuga Navalar, Keshub Chunder Sen, Swami Vivekananda, Ponnambalam Ramanathan, M. K. Gandhi and Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and nationalists such as Dhirendranath Chowdhary, Sita Ram Goel and Ram Swarup. The book contains the interpretative context; the textual negotiation that went on between these Hindus and the missionaries and orientalists; examples of their Hinduization of the Bible; and the hermeneutical impact on mainstream biblical interpretation.
