The Conference Chair is Prof Wybe Popma and the Programme Chair is Stuart Francis, all from University of Brighton. ECSM is now a well-established event on the academic research calendar and now in its 6th year the key aim remains the opportunity for participants to share ideas and meet the people who hold them. The scope of papers will ensure an interesting two days. The subjects covered illustrate the wide range of topics that fall into this important and ever-growing area of research. The opening keynote presentation is given by Asher Rospigliosi, Brighton Business School, UK, on the subject When Social Media doesn't work. Then an afternoon keynote will be given by Ben Hackett, Vizia Commercial Specialist at Brandwatch, Brighton, UK who will talk about Social Listening into Consumer Research. The second day of the conference will open with an address by Hannah Brookes, from Jellyfish on the topic of Finding voices: the role of users in generating content that works. With an initial submission of 117 abstracts, after the double blind, peer review process there are 37 Academic research papers, 7 PhD research papers, 2 Masters Research papers, 2 non-academic papers and 3 work-in-progress papers published in these Conference Proceedings.
