This book was released on 2024 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Zusammenfassung: This book explores the discursive dimension of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It analyzes how political leaders, mass media, social media, and ordinary people in Ukraine, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and France discuss the war. War propaganda and counterpropaganda structure discourses about the invasion, strengthening post-truth conditions. The book highlights the consequences of the growing distrust in the institutional truth-teller, mass media. Russia's invasion of Ukraine is the first social media war. Social media became the principal source of information about the invasion. The rise of digital media did not change the tendency of the discourses about war to be territorially segregated according to national boundaries. Nationalization of discourses about war continues to prevail over their globalization. The corpora containing more than 180 million words in four languages inform the analysis. The data was collected during the first year and a half of Russia's all-out war in Ukraine. Dr. Anton Oleinik is a professor of sociology who taught in Canada (Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's), Kazakstan (Academy of Public Administration, Astana), Mongolia (National University of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar) and Russia (Smolny College, St. Petersburg). His areas of expertise are political sociology, social data science, text-as-data, content analysis and mixed methods research. He previously authored Building Ukraine from Within: A Sociological, Institutional and Economic Analysis of a Nation-State in the Making, The Invisible Hand of Power: An Economic Theory of Gatekeeping, Market as a Weapon: The Socio-Economic Machinery of Dominance in Russia and Organized Crime, Prison and Post-Soviet Societies

Book excerpt: Today's global markets demand that companies of all sizes look to international markets for potential customers. The successive crises that have taken place in the last decade make the internationalization of companies essential. This situation is further aggravated in the case of SMEs, as surviving only from national markets is becoming increasingly difficult. Indeed, the economic sphere is in constant flux, which demands that companies have a great capacity for adaptation to face the new challenges of an ever more globalized and difficult market. In this context, new forms of business communication are emerging, especially through the web and new technologies. Digital marketing and the dissemination of corporate information have become key processes for the success of companies. It is therefore crucial to research different digital marketing processes and ways of breaking down linguistic and cultural barriers between users from different sociolinguistic contexts. Innovative Perspectives on Corporate Communication in the Global World contains different contributions focused on the description of methods, processes, and tools that can be adopted to achieve corporate internationalization goals. The chapters provide a comprehensive review of the why, what, and how of disseminating corporate information and promoting corporate digital communication into internationalization processes. These strategies can be related to the development of digital tools, the design of new corporate communication strategies, the proposal of new ways of breaking social and linguistic barriers between technology users, or the creation of new methodologies aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies. This book is ideal for marketers, managers, executives, entrepreneurs, practitioners, researchers, academicians, and students interested in new corporate communication strategies and their effectiveness.

The 40 papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in the book. The volume is arranged into two scientific sections. The first section, Multimodal Signals: Analysis, Processing and Computational Issues, deals with conjectural and processing issues of defining models, algorithms, and heuristic strategies for data analysis, coordination of the data flow and optimal encoding of multi-channel verbal and nonverbal features. The second section, Verbal and Nonverbal Social Signals, presents original studies that provide theoretical and practical solutions to the modelling of timing synchronization between linguistic and paralinguistic expressions, actions, body movements, activities in human interaction and on their assistance for an effective human-machine interactions.
