This is just as true in education as in business. Educationalists in the past have been too prone to follow theories, irrespective of the actual local conditions and needs. In August we published a report on the physical condition of the following schools: Alexis I. du Pont, Mt. Pleasant, New Castle, Newark, Middletown, Smyrna, Dover, Caesar Rodney, Harrington, Milford, Seaford, Blades, Laurel, Georgetown and Lewes. The report was made by Dr. George D. Strayer, Professor of Educational Administration, Teachers' College, Columbia University, and Professor N. L. Engelhardt, Associate Professor of Educational Administration, Teachers' College, Columbia University. They are recognized experts in their own field. In making the survey and writing the report they had no motive or purpose other than to give an accurate description of conditions as they found them in Delaware.
