Book excerpt: In 2016, NetFlix released 'Barry', a film chronicling young Barack Obama's stay at Columbia University in New York City. One scene shows the man who would later become the President of the United States debating a religious proselytizer on the street. This man was a "Black Hebrew Israelite". The "Hebrew Israelite" movement began in 1969 and was headquartered at 1 West 125th St. in Harlem (near Obama's apartment on W 109th between Amsterdam and Columbus). Christian apologist and researcher VOCAB MALONE creatively uses this mini-debate as a launching pad to explore this militant and mysterious sect. The timing is just right; this faith is been spreading like wildfire in most major city centers across the US. This book fills a void, as there are no major works on 1West Hebrew Israelism. Now a primer exists in 'BARACK OBAMA vs the BLACK HEBREW ISRAELITES' by Vocab Malone.

Book excerpt: This book presents powerfully documented vignettes to the key end times questions of Who is the Anti-Christ?, What does the 666 mean? What about America? No other book provides the scriptural proof texting direct from the Greek and Hebrew to confirm that Obama is the Anti-Christ, the 666 represents the mindset of Socialism, and America is doomed to a nuclear holocaust. Luke 10:18 records Jesus stating I beheld Satan as lightning which translates to Satan as Barack in Hebrew. Judas Iscariot, the betrayer of Christ, did so in a socialist rage against the inequalities of life and Jesuss acceptance of poverty. Finally, Isaiah chapter 18 describes the massive destruction of a nation matching the unique characteristics of the USA on 16 different points all ending with the bringing of THE SHE gift, the Bride of Christ, the Church to heaven.

Book excerpt: A riveting, deeply personal account of history in the making—from the president who inspired us to believe in the power of democracy #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • NAACP IMAGE AWARD NOMINEE • NAMED ONE OF THE TEN BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY THE NEW YORK TIMES BOOK REVIEW AND PEOPLE NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY The Washington Post • Jennifer Szalai, The New York Times • NPR • The Guardian • Slate • Vox • The Economist • Marie Claire In the stirring first volume of his presidential memoirs, Barack Obama tells the story of his improbable odyssey from young man searching for his identity to leader of the free world, describing in strikingly personal detail both his political education and the landmark moments of the first term of his historic presidency—a time of dramatic transformation and turmoil. Obama takes readers on a compelling journey from his earliest political aspirations to the pivotal Iowa caucus victory that demonstrated the power of grassroots activism to the watershed night of November 4, 2008, when he was elected 44th president of the United States, becoming the first African American to hold the nation’s highest office. Reflecting on the presidency, he offers a unique and thoughtful exploration of both the awesome reach and the limits of presidential power, as well as singular insights into the dynamics of U.S. partisan politics and international diplomacy. Obama brings readers inside the Oval Office and the White House Situation Room, and to Moscow, Cairo, Beijing, and points beyond. We are privy to his thoughts as he assembles his cabinet, wrestles with a global financial crisis, takes the measure of Vladimir Putin, overcomes seemingly insurmountable odds to secure passage of the Affordable Care Act, clashes with generals about U.S. strategy in Afghanistan, tackles Wall Street reform, responds to the devastating Deepwater Horizon blowout, and authorizes Operation Neptune’s Spear, which leads to the death of Osama bin Laden. A Promised Land is extraordinarily intimate and introspective—the story of one man’s bet with history, the faith of a community organizer tested on the world stage. Obama is candid about the balancing act of running for office as a Black American, bearing the expectations of a generation buoyed by messages of “hope and change,” and meeting the moral challenges of high-stakes decision-making. He is frank about the forces that opposed him at home and abroad, open about how living in the White House affected his wife and daughters, and unafraid to reveal self-doubt and disappointment. Yet he never wavers from his belief that inside the great, ongoing American experiment, progress is always possible. This beautifully written and powerful book captures Barack Obama’s conviction that democracy is not a gift from on high but something founded on empathy and common understanding and built together, day by day.

Book excerpt: In the first part of 'Apocalypse, Remote Vision' we have observed the points that deal with what is related to the 'Great Tribulation' that our world will live and even the elect and faithful (so that with this many may be perfected, and likewise many other lukewarm awaken ). I have told you that the basis of these two "end-world" books is intuition, premonition, visions, revelations, dreams, extrasensory perception and remote viewing regarding things to come, and I have chosen many topics that I have been able to compare and link with each other. There are other popular people who have seen remarkable things, but some of them are not the subject that I am dealing with here at the moment, or they are not entirely clear. There are others from which data can be taken with tweezers, as is the case of Mrs. 'Baba Vanga', a Bulgarian citizen who predicted many things in her time. She is said to have given specific dates for future events, but the times and sequences attributed to the events predicted by her are exaggerated and mixed up in their temporal location. Baba Vanga would have died on August 11, 1996, at the age of 85, and the only allusion that seems coherent that he gave for just after his death is the one that defines that by 2018 the nation of China would become the new power world. Even so, we will see that this will not be exactly the case, despite the fact that it is now the global economic power - and perhaps the second or third military power on our planet. If we remove the dates that he is supposed to have mentioned, and simply refer to his warnings, then we do have logical citations and which coincide with a host of other prophecies. Vanga is said to have prophesied that after China became the world power, the subsequent thing would be that the Earth's orbit would change slightly; I would also have argued that then Europe would have serious demographic problems, that hunger would slowly become a problem for humanity, that there would be polar melting and strong sea level rise, and the like. It is also said that he warned that later the world economy would improve remarkably while in Europe the Muslims dominate. We already know that this has to do with the new currency and the Islamic invasion, but Vanga adds something strange...

Book excerpt: President Barack Obama's first trip abroad in his second term took him to Israel and the Palestinian West Bank, where he despondently admitted to those waiting for words of encouragement, "It is a hard slog to work through all of these issues." Contrast this gloomy assessment with Obama's optimism on the second day of his first term, when he appointed former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell as his special envoy for Middle East peace, boldly asserting that his administration would "actively and aggressively seek a lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinians." How is it that Obama's active and aggressive search for progress has become mired in the status quo? Writer and political analyst Josh Ruebner charts Obama's journey from optimism to frustration in the first hard-hitting investigation into why the president failed to make any progress on this critical issue, and how his unwillingness to challenge the Israel lobby has shattered hopes for peace. Written in a clear and accessible style by the advocacy director of a national peace organization and former Middle East analyst for the Congressional Research Service, Shattered Hopes offers an informed history of the Obama administration's policies and maps out a true path forward for the United States to help achieve Israeli-Palestinian peace.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This fifth volume in The Way Into... series examines the many ways that the Jewish tradition has approached differences in religious and cultural orientation and practices among Jewish people, from ancient times to the present controversy over "Who is a Jew?"The Way Into Varieties of Jewishness explores some of the major questions that have challenged individual Jews and Jewish communities to examine what it means to be a Jew. If Jewishness is a faith, what does it mean to be a secular Jew? If it is an ethnicity, what does it mean to convert into it -- or out of it?The struggles and compromises between different movements of Judaism in earlier centuries -- such as the schools of Hillel and Shammai two millennia ago, or the mystics and the rationalists of medieval Europe -- may shed light on the complicated relationships among today's traditional and liberal Jewish movements.
