Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Thomas Cowan was a 20-year-old Duke grad—bright, skeptical, and already disillusioned with industrial capitalism—when he joined the Peace Corps in the mid-1970s for a two-year tour in Swaziland. There, he encountered the work of Rudolf Steiner and Weston A. Price—two men whose ideas would fascinate and challenge him for decades to come. Both drawn to the art of healing and repelled by the way medicine was—and continues to be—practiced in the United States, Cowan returned from Swaziland, went to medical school, and established a practice in New Hampshire and, later, San Francisco. For years, as he raised his three children, suffered the setback of divorce, and struggled with a heart condition, he remained intrigued by the work of Price and Steiner and, in particular, with Steiner’s provocative claim that the heart is not a pump. Determined to practice medicine in a way that promoted healing rather than compounded ailments, Cowan dedicated himself to understanding whether Steiner’s claim could possibly be true. And if Steiner was correct, what, then, is the heart? What is its true role in the human body? In this deeply personal, rigorous, and riveting account, Dr. Cowan offers up a daring claim: Not only was Steiner correct that the heart is not a pump, but our understanding of heart disease—with its origins in the blood vessels—is completely wrong. And this gross misunderstanding, with its attendant medications and risky surgeries, is the reason heart disease remains the most common cause of death worldwide. In Human Heart, Cosmic Heart, Dr. Thomas Cowan presents a new way of understanding the body’s most central organ. He offers a new look at what it means to be human and how we can best care for ourselves—and one another.

Book excerpt: This book on Cosmic Energy, Health and Medicine explains about the natural energy around us in everyday life and how we can maximize its use for our health. How our health is connected with the body and mind and explains how disease is due to the disagreement between them. The book explains about allergies and compares it with an enemy. One cannot solve a problem avoiding the enemy. Same way allergy is the one you need to resolve and not avoid. The medicines used over centuries by our forefathers are proven and can be relied upon just as the reliable age old foods we consume to this day. Medicines under modern allopathic system never last even for a decade. Chemicals, herbs and minerals are not medicines. A medicine should act as an energized bullet or a piercing arrow instead of staying behind in our body and creating a host of side effects and other complications. A medicine is supposed to cure the disease of the person and not create a disease basket piling on more diseases. Only the energized medicines which are slow but steady can clear our disease in natures speed and not the fast acting palliative medicines.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Science of Cure defines and describes the elementary types of cures for any curable illnesses. These elements are explored and combined to cover complex, illnesses, and chronic illnesses. The book explores the impact of this theory of cure on many concepts, including: illness, disease, sickness, healing, transformation, placebo. Three basic causes of illness are reviewed, and their associated cure processes. Cure is a verb. Is a cure holistic or reductionist? How can we tell? The concepts of holistic and reductionist treatments are clearly defined, such that we can easily determine if any treatment is holistic, reductionist, or a blend. Is prevention better than cure? Umm.. Not when we are sick. In addition, because many illnesses cause secondary diseases - a cure is often the best preventative. The Science of Cure is a condensation, expansion, and exploration of the concepts introduced in the books The Elements of Cure and A Calculus of Curing – developed over several years of research and writing for the blog site Healthicine – the Arts and Sciences of Health and Healthiness. It is also an expansion of the papers A Definition and Exploration of Cure published on Academia.edu in July 2018 and A Theory of Cure, 2019. This book defines fundamental concepts of cure, cures, curing, and cured, and many related topics including cause, illness, disease, sickness, treatment, remission, and recurrence.

It is within this intricate weave that we embark on a journey to explore a groundbreaking approach in the treatment of a complex condition: Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). This book, "Advanced Treatment for Polycystic Kidney Disease: Apometry, NLP, Regression and Hypnosis," is the culmination of extensive research, innovative thinking, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of those affected by PKD. Polycystic Kidney Disease, a condition that affects countless individuals worldwide, calls for a multi-faceted approach that goes beyond conventional medical practices. Through diligent study and experimentation, we have endeavored to present a holistic framework that incorporates Apometry, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Regression, and Hypnosis – each contributing its unique strengths to the journey of healing. In the pages that follow, we will delve into the intricacies of these methodologies, exploring how Apometry's unique energy-based approach can complement the power of NLP's cognitive restructuring. We'll venture into the realm of Regression, unearthing the potential of revisiting past experiences for insight and healing, while also embracing Hypnosis's ability to tap into the subconscious mind's innate capacity for transformation. The scope of this book extends beyond the immediate treatment of PKD. It encompasses a spectrum of subjects – from the ethereal realms of consciousness and parapsychology to the practical applications of genetic insights and therapeutic techniques. While our focus remains steadfast on PKD, we recognize that the insights and methodologies presented here have broader implications for holistic health and wellness. As you embark on this exploration, we encourage you to approach each chapter with an open mind and a curious heart. Book excerpt: In a world where many are disillusioned with the highly drug-dependent medical establishment, integrative medicine is gaining popularity because of its more holistic approach. Holism by definition implies greater than the sum of its parts, and is a response to reductionism, especially biological reductionism in medicine. The holistic model widely accepted in integrative healthcare today is a biopsychosocial model that aims to treat the whole person. It is a systems hierarchy model that includes the universe to a cell particle, so one’s understanding of holism will be reflected in what one considers relevant. To a pulmonologist, holism might mean the whole respiratory system, to a geneticist, holism might mean the whole family history, but...who is treating the whole “person”? This groundbreaking book sheds light on the limitations of integrative healthcare in exploring the full potential of homeopathy in treating the whole person. It argues that we don’t need a new approach, definition, or understanding of holism. We sometimes just need to step out of the systems hierarchy model of the reductionist paradigm itself to get a larger view, and redefine the boundaries of what constitutes the wholeness of a person. With a clear and engaging writing style, the book takes readers on a journey through the history and evolution of the concept of “whole”, and presents a compelling case for the adoption of an anthroposophic paradigm as a more comprehensive and effective approach to holism, healing, and homeopathy. Whether you are a homeopath, a healthcare practitioner, a patient, or simply interested in holistic medicine, this is a must-read book that will challenge your assumptions and expand your understanding of what it means to treat the whole person.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our current theory of cure isn’t working. When did it stop? Today, we can’t cure most diseases. When cured – few can be proven cured. Even the common cold, the flu, and measles. I’ve had them all, cured. Over 99 percent of cases are cured, while medical theory “there is no cure for…” The same is true for many other diseases. We need a theory of cure that encompasses every curable medical condition or disease. This book is the first step on that path. Cure is defined by cause. Every curable medical condition has a present cause that, when addressed, results in a cure. Of course, many diseases are compound and complex, having multiple causes often causing other diseases themselves. There is plenty of complexity. To study cure, we simplify first and then build our understanding from a solid foundation. There are exactly two basic types of illness causes, resulting in exactly two types of cures. An element of illness has a single cause. The cause of an illness might be found in diet, body, mind, spirit, community or environment of the afflicted. The illness element is cured when the cause has been successfully addressed. Once an illness is cured, that cure is permanent. No cure is permanent. If the cause occurs again, a new illness might occur. This logic applies to every cure. Cures are forward movements in life. We can only go forward in life, not backwards. No cure is perfect. Perfect cures are a myth. Real cures are real. Both healing and curing function by addressing the basic causes of illness. Healing cures are unconscious intentional actions that successfully address the cause of an illness. No healing cure is perfect - even when the results are better than before. Curing consists of intentional personal, community, and medical actions that address the cause of an illness. Caring is attention by self and community to address the signs and symptoms of disease, to aid and facilitate healthy tolerance of the signs and symptoms of disease and to aid and facilitate cures.
